Obama speaks with Chertoff
(CNN) - Barack Obama has spoken with Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff about Hurricane Gustav preparations, Obama advisor Robert Gibbs said Sunday.
He was briefed on the status of the storm, the evacuation process and coordination between federal, state and local authorities, Gibbs said.

It looks as though Obama's campain got it right. His website has on its main page how and what to do to help Gustav for those near and far.
As for McCain.'s website... No mention of it

I have very little trust in McCain, he has NO idea what to do. I guess he needs some guns, bullets and a big war to be in full control of a domestic situation.

Poor Obama, having to meet with Skeletor (another idiot in the most irresponsible administration of all time!). At least the Democrats are being pro-active. The Repugs are sending Bush and Cheney; that's a laugh!
McCain like Bush will bring more threat to our country. Obama/Biden ticket is very strong on national security and Biden as well as Obama is well respected around the world. Obama has better judgment on every single issues that we need on a president than mccain. That is why we must vote Democratic this November to prevent a second 9/11 and have someone who is ready for what ever decission to defend our national security in case of any plot. McCain/Palin ticket I doubt it no foreign policies no experience we cannot risk our country with that ticket.
Do not listen to the republican scare tactics and believe anything they have to say. The republican is the party we as voters should stay away from this November. They have done enough to our country and the economy and we cannot afford four more years of economic disasters and begging China to lend us money.
Why are they skipping the convention? is it to show that McCain is not tight to Bush/Chenney? But, Jonh McCain voting record cannot lie that he not only tight to Bush/Chenney, but, will be a continuation of Bush Chenney government.
photo ops or preparing to aid those in need? mccain will be interfering with relief efforts. obama's team will be preparing with unprecedented donations of whatever is needed, with the help of over 36 million supporters of barack and our nation. obama is a uniter, and is best suited to bring everybody together in times of natural disaster and crises worldwide. he may very well be THE BEST qualified to lead this nation, than perhaps any leader in decades.
Like I have said before. Obama/Biden cares about the poor and McCain/Palin don't give a crap.
Obama again using good judgement by directly talking with Homeland Security Secretary Chertoff who is responsible for getting it right without jumping in for a photo op opportunity like McCain. McCain just running to Mississippi to sure up support from retired Senator Trent Lott.
And again, where is obambi ??? Serving self interest again ??? Just like he was when he skipped the BLACK STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS 2008 in New Orleans. Just like he skipped the MLK DAY in Memphis. Now can my fellow Black Americans see who this guy really is ???

He only went on TV for some free advertisement. He was not impressive in his feable attempt to try to give his opinion on the response prior to the Hurricane. Once again, President Bush steps aside to let McCain run his mouth. But there is just one problem McCain is not the President and I'm glad he will never be!!!

So he watched CNN like everybody else about the progress of the evacuation. What does that prove??? We were not impressed.
