Pushed by popularity, campaign keeps Palin with McCain on trail

(CNN)– What does a campaign do when its new vice presidential candidate brings unprecedented energy to their candidate's crowds? They keep her with him longer.

A McCain campaign aide tells CNN the Alaska Governor will stay on the trail with McCain through early next week, instead of campaigning solo.

The McCain-Palin ticket is expected in Missouri Monday, and likely Ohio and Pennsylvania through Tuesday and maybe early Wednesday.

Campaign aides made it clear, the decision to keep Palin on the trail with the Republican nominee longer, also gives the campaign additional time hammer out details as to where and how to best deploy Palin when she does campaign on her own.

Plans were originally underway to send Palin to Florida solo early next week. Then that was scrapped and aides started working on a meet and greet event in the Philadelphia area Monday, with potential for a fundraising component. But those plans for Palins have now been abandoned as well.

Palin is expected to travel back to Alaska mid week through at least Friday, before her son, Track, who is enlisted in the Army is deployed to Iraq. In her convention address, Palin announced he's going on September 11.

    It is really sad when your VP pick is more popular than the candidate for President! I can't remember a time in American history when this has been the case. And, what is even worse is that Palin is such a flawed and irresponsible choice for VP that I am actually quite afraid at the thought of her being a heartbeat away from the Presidency. McCain is a weak and foolish person who has sold his Independent soul to the right-wing conservative movement.

    Palin is like a baton-twirling school girl at a nursing home. No matter how incapable she is, she's bound to liven up the joint.

    How long will they be able to keep her away from the press and proper vetting? The woman is a dangerious liar! 6 years and 5 schools to ge a BA. Yes, she is the best the Republicans have.
    Eventually her past will come out, and the American people will see it's just another hoax.

    They will keep her out on the trail because it is the only way to get the GOP to his rally otherwise they don't show up! The radical right has made a huge mistake placing there faith in a women that has already gave a speech looked us in the eyes and lied without batting one pretty eye lash! From the lies that she sold her jet, to being fiscally conservative. Lies, Lies, Lies. I guess thought she is campaigning with the right man he also claims that she sold the jet on E-bay even after it was proven to be a lie but he went even further claiming they made money on the sale yet another Lie! they lost over 2 million! now the jet is used to fly GOP elitist on hunting trips around Alaska.

    CNN should start the investigation of Palin's affair and Palin also should undergo a DNA test to prove that Trig is her son

    Proof that McCain needs Palin to prop him up. Proof that Mccain cannot draw huge crowds on his own.

    The SHRILLA FROM WASILLA is in no shape to be flying solo anytime soon!! She needs to be protected and kept under-wing at least until the election in November. Obviously, she's not ready to face the mean-old media who's going to ask her tough, sexist questions that will make her cry!!

    Oh cry-me-a-river, Republicans!! You picked and supported a lame, inexperienced VP candidate that can't even stand on her own two feet in this election, and cry foul when she's criticized for it. She is in NO shape to answer the really tough questions about what should be done about fixing the turmoil that is the current state of our nation.

    She's a pretty face... that has about 5 minutes worth of experience. I'm with Peggy Noonan... it's OVER!!

    WAKE UP, AMERICA!!! VOTE SMART... NOT SENILE!!!!

    Palin's ties to the AIP, including a video of her addressing the 2008 AIP Convention in Fairbanks go to sarahpalinexposed.com

    AIP= Alaskan Independence Party
    AIP= succession from the USA

    WHERE WAS THE EXPERIENCE, JUDGMENT AND COUNRY FIRST IN PICKING HER.

    If she gets in the white house we may become 49 states and not 50

    Come on, let her come out on her own. What, afraid she can't handle it?. She'll be okay as long as you write down everything you want her to say (Carl Rove are you listening ?) and tell her not to take any questions. But I understand, you have to let her go with Johnnie boy, she's the one keeping people from falling asleep. That's okay, the smart ones see through her lies and hate.

    This is not the reason, it's because she is not ready to speak on her own. They are training her in Rove's way. If she is so good, she should have been on her own after they announced her, even more so maybe she should have been their nominee.

    If Palin is not ready for the press, how can she be ready to be President? She has slanted everything( library, bridge, jet, eloping pregnant) she did in Alaska as Gov also. Who would trust anything she says!

    Please go back to Alaska and take care of your family.

    If her daughter is going to marry the father of her child, I bet it will never happen...if they mean what they say, then they need to mary b4 the election in November..after the election regardless of the results, this boyfriend is out the door and old news...oh! and let's not forget her ex-brother-in-law which she lied about...she knows she wanted him fired and when it did not happen she freaked and did her own little thing.

    She is on the ticket because of: her son goin to Iraq(sympathy votes), her daughter being pregnant(sympathy votes) and her gender(sympathy votes).

    The real reason is that they need enough time to brief her on what a VP actually do. I will really like to see the they the media get to ask her one question on the stump, I will bet she will fail on an answer.
