Biden: Palin seems to have ‘extreme views’

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Joe Biden said 'Palin has some very extreme views.'"]

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (CNN) - Joe Biden said Monday that vice presidential opponent Sarah Palin seems to have "some very extreme views."

Speaking to a union crowd in Wisconsin, Biden also said he hasn't heard enough specifics from the Alaska governor, and that he's hoping to learn more about her positions before the two debate October 2.

"Hopefully by the time the debate takes place, we’ll have a better sense of her other than some of what she says and what appear to be some very extreme views," Biden said.

Watch: Palin hits the campaign trail

"I’m assuming that she shares John McCain’s views on most of the issues. And she even says, if the press is correct - and I’m not ready, prepared to make a judgment [on this] - her views on everything from global warming to other things, if they are as presented, they’re pretty far out there."

She has views, the wrong views. She doesn't even understand the Freddie/Fannie economic crisis for gosh sakes! How can someone who doesn't understand basic economic issues be "qualified" to be a heartbeat away from the presidency?

Attack her for her lack of knowledge. This is exactly the same reason she's not allowed to interviewed by the press until she's done being brainwashed by the Bush administration!

  2. Sarah Palin implemented windfall oil profit tax in Alaska

SARAH PALIN does have extreme views.

She said just a few weeks ago that she didn't have a clue what a VICE PRESIDENT DOES.

She made some odd remarks during a speech at her church available on youtube.

She took Obama's position on offering windfall oil profit taxes back to her taxpayers in Alaska.

She's not an animal rights advocate.

She doesn't believe global warming is man made.

She thought about supporting the seperation of Alaska from the Union.

She wants to outlaw abortion no matter the conditions.

etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

They are extreme to a far left Biden but not for a middle voter like myself. I want to know how Obama is going to control Joe's spending.

Now that the polls are running against them, be ready for the Obama folks to go from negative to nasty.

Gene, That is a boneheaded comment. Her views represent as far right a platform as one can draw up. That does not represent mainstream America. If you want to make that argument about McCain, at least you might have a little footing. But not with Palin who is completely out of touch. She is a holier-than-thou extremist and that's the truth. If that's what you want to support, than so be it. but don't call a duck a cow. If it's a duck it's a duck.

Looks to me like the draft is just what America needs.

The draft will bring out actual protesters, the likes of which the US hasn't seen since the 60's. Apparently that's what it will take to get us out Iraq.

    Nothing less will do.

What is extreme is the arrogance of Obama in thumbing his nose at Hillary who was supported by the other half of the electorate. By putting his personal feeling before country, he invited this move by McCain. The Democrats sure know how to nominate losers, time and again.

America – wake up! look at the unemployment rate, the war, the economy, the government. Do not make another mistake. This is such a great country, but the people are so gullible. What do we know about Sarah? Because of her ignorance and deficiency in education, she is being sheltered under the umbrella of Mac's team. If she was so capable, and was following current affairs as a governor of any of our unions should have, how come she does not know the issues of the candidates? If she was so capable, why can't Mac let her out on her own to be interviewed? This was grossly reckless for Mac to select this person as his running mate. A person who has to be tutored to answer questions. The speech that she gave last week was written by Bush speech writer. I am a veteran, and I wouldn't let her lead me from my living room to my bathroom. i have a small house. It is a shame Mac. I thought you said "Country First." Shame on you.

    Gene DiGilio –

I hunt and fish. I've always wanted to visit Alaska. I work hard and make good money. I am a very mainstream American. Palin's views, from what I have heard, are both extreme and ignorant. I agree with Mr. Biden – I hope we learn more about them before people vote. People who vote for candidates without knowing their positions on issues are also extreme and ignorant. Go figure!

Obama : you will lose if you don't start controlling the news!

You're not offering any headlines and your commercials suck!

There're giving you gold and you're not using it :

    1) a commercial with a parade of COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS juxtaposed with Palin's insult

    2) a commerical talking about how the Repub convention was one of the most partisan in history

Obama unless start showing the spirit and spine you showed on your nomination night you will forfeit this election! Right now MCCAIN/ PALIN ARE RUNNING UNOPPOSED!

YOU THINK? The woman is a card-carrying religious fanatic and outright LIAR.

But in typical GOP fashion, they just keep spouting everything as being TRUE even when they know it's not, knowing if they say if often enough (remember the WMD?) stupid people believe it.

McCain and Palin are NOT mavericks in any sense of the word. ANOTHER LIE.

Sarah Palin is an extremist of the worst order. Here are some of her extremist views: The war in Iraq was an act of God, She is a member of NRA and as such believes in every citizen's right to have a gun, opposes abortion even in case of incest or rape, and the list goes on. Its a sad commentary on our times that McCain had to have a person like her by his side to satisfy the extremists in his party on his side. Extremism of any kind is bad in the best of times. A President and/or a VP, has to have an open mind while governing the country so they can make an informed decision that is in the best interest of the country. MCCain and Palin do not fit that bil by any standards.

Palin is a farce (no offense). Can you imagine her running this country? Her leadership will set us back into the 18th century. We will be right back where slavery and jim crow ruled for over a century.
Biden is right...she's too far out there in space. However, this country is divided. Maybe for once, the world will realize that America is not exactly the "land of the free."

  23. Mccain is a Liar and Palin is Dick Cheney's Mistress

Palin and Mccain are Liars that will not do anything to improve our day to day Lives in this Country According to Palin and Mccain we are all just Imaging hard times where are all Just overeacting over 4 dollars Gasoline all republicans talk about for the las 20 years is lower taxes, war, drill and you see where that got us but American are being feed the same Lies. lets see if this time we pick the right President

Gene, you are clearly and completely out of touch with mainstream Americans. A majority (which defines mainstream) disagree with her on global warming, stem cell research, the roll of the US in the world, the right choose, tax cuts for the wealthy. Palin is about as far right as a candidate can get.

Hopefully the media will actually do their job(s) and report on her and her crazy views.

I have been hearing many Republicans say in defense of Palin's Convention speech, so what, Obama gives a good speech and uses a teleprompter too!!! Guess what?! Obama writes his speeches, unlike Palin who got her from Bush's speech writer.

Now onto the Oil companies. I wish the government would take back all the oil leases that they have given big oil companies and do it theirselves. Does anyone realize that oil companies are drilling on land owned by the USA, which id really you and me? They pump the oil that already belongs to the American people and then sell it back to us!!!! Sure the are paying something for the lease on the land, but it can't be anywhere near what they are making or charging us. If the government took it over, had government owned rigs and refineries, the cost of gas would be so much less. Wake up America! Another 4 years of Republicans will only make them richer and us poorer.
