New ad declares McCain-Palin 'original mavericks'

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="The McCain campaign is out with a new ad Monday."](CNN) - Republicans John McCain and Sarah Palin are out with a new television ad Monday, declaring themselves the "original mavericks."

The 30-second spot, set to air in key states, says McCain and Palin will "make history" and "change Washington."

"He fights pork barrel spending," the ad's narrator states. "She stopped the Bridge to Nowhere. He took on the drug industry. She took on big oil."

Palin's statement claiming to have opposed the now-infamous "Bridge to Nowhere" has been disputed by opponents who note she supported the major earmark when she campaigned for governor of Alaska in 2006. According to the non-partisan, Palin didn't oppose the project until Congress had already nixed it.

I was about to ask if they thought Americans are stupid, and then I remembered who voted for G.Bush twice. Certainly not foreigners!

He took on pork barrell except Alaskas highest per capita requests.
How's that drug war going ? She took on big oil for who ? Her state only ? Did she use the money for the future ? Did she use the money in an effort to make Alaska less dependent on oil ? NO !! She said yes to the bridge long before saying no and in fact campaigned on the yes side before no.Good commercial to further proove they lie at any cost and think Americans are stupid enough to believe this load. She took on big oil ,but lost to the community organizers that rallied against her censorship and the librarian that she wanted to fire for not pulling the books Palin wanted out. The organizers and the town of Wissilla won that war ! The librarian won !

Please be aware of these facts while considering Sarah Palin as a vice presidential candidate, one heart beat away from the presidency of the UNITED STATES.

    She is in fact an extreme right winger with these views;

She is against a woman's right to choose even if that woman is raped! Think about your daughter being raped under the PALIN rules. Would you be confortable and happy for your daughter?

She wants to allow creationism to be taught in public schools. Creationism says that the Earth is less than 5000 years old so I guess dinosaurs were on earth while the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx were being built. Does that make sense to you?

She wants no sex education taught in Public Schools She only wants Abstinence taught. How do you think abstinence worked for her 17 year old pregnant daughter? What do you think are the odds of a 17 year old pregnant child getting married and then staying married. Another broken family in the making!

She sought support from the ALASKA Independence Party which wants to secede from the UNION. She actually told them that they were doing a good job!

She actually tried to have books banned from the local library in Wasillo, Alaska when she was Major.

She is against GAY MARRIAGE and any rights for gay people period. What happened to "Do not judge others lese you be judged yourself" Guess that doesn't apply to Gay people, only to people who are like her!

She and John McCain now claim to be the party for change. That of course is after the McCain ad in which he says that he supported George Bush 90 percent of the time. What change can you make when you agreed with George 90 percent of the time. I know! we can change from 90 percent agreement to 100 percent!

To those people who watched the Republican Convention and were swayed by Ms Palin's speech, Please I implore you to actually find out where she stands on the issues before deciding to vote for her and John McCain.

This country has had 8 years of WAR, BAD ECONOMY, HIGHER UNEMPLOYMENT, REDUCED TAXES TO THE RICH. That's enough don't you think.

And by the way WHERE IS OSAMA BIN LADEN??? The person who actually caused the WORLD TRADE CENTER tragedy. He is still alive while thousands of our soldiers (kids) are dead? There is never any talk about him any more from the Republican Right. Wonder why that is? Could it be that they expect you to forget who started this in the first place and no it wasn't IRAQ!

Mavericks? Please. Tell me what they've done that's so antiestablishment. I think the Daily Show piece that morphs "Maverick Reformer" into "Reformed Maverick" has it closer. McCain has flip-flopped on so many issues to align himself with the Republican base and the current administration that it isn't funny. Even his VP pick was not his first choice. Palin was chosen to pander to the Republican base and to the PUMAs who want a woman regardless of her politics.

The Repubs have once again employed their theory of "if you tell a lie enough times 50% of the population will begin to believe it. I didn't know that when McCain said he would "make politicians who seek earmarks famous" that he meant he would make them famous by selecting them as his VP

Maverick:: unbranded or feral horse and cattle. A feral organism is one that has escaped from domestication and returned, partly or wholly, to its wild state. The introduction of feral animals or plants, like any introduced species, can disrupt ecosystems and may, in some cases, contribute to extinction of indigenous species.

Convention bounce kiddies, Obama was 10 points over McCain this time last week.

Check the scores after the first debate, that will give you a better idea of how the polls will go.

McCain and Palin are Bush followers.
Voted with Bush 90% of the time does not make you a Maverick. It's makes you a party first country second.

BTW how about something original from McCain.
    He's now "change"?

Same policiy as Bush does not make you "change". Copying someone else does not make you "change".

    Don't say it, prove it/

Obamabots post complete lies like "Palin said she SOLD her plane on Ebay, she lied, we can't elect her"

She said she PUT it on ebay.

I try to post truths, and CNN blocks it. Here are the truths:

    Obama Experience:

-8 years as a State Senator where he never authored ONE piece of legilsation
-1 year as a US Senator (after that he started his run for Pres, so he hasn't been working as a Senator) with not ONE piece authored legislation. He did sponsor an ethics bill, that he subsequently VOTED AGAINST
-20 year participation in an anti-white, anti-USA church
    -A law degree

    So, in effect, NO EXPERIENCE!!!!!!

The ad is full of lies.

Palin is the biggest soliciter for pork barrel spending in her state.

Palin was for the Bridge to Nowhere until she was against it, and yet, still kept the money and spent it elsewhere!

Alaska's economy is 1/3d dependent on Federal Spending there. So it is an outright lie she's opposed pork barrel spending.

And besides, some people's pork is other people's replacement bridge for the one that collapsed over the Mississippi last year!

McCain has been trying sooo hard to establish his image of being a 'maverick' and now Palin is a 'maverick'?

First of all, I don't see McCain and Palin as mavericks. A 'maverick' is someone being independent in thought and action. Are you kidding me? When has McCain been this? Palin surely isn't independent in thought and action, that's for sure, from day one?

Second of all, what in the heck does pork, a bridge, the drug industry and Palin taking on oil have to do with our economy as a whole? Why are they trying to paint the picture of these non-relative issues are going to help our society?

McCain and Palin are the ticket to Nowhere. McCain can't be in any position to be president when he doesn't even speak for his campaign. And if McCain doesn't speak for his campaign, what makes people think Palin does?

No thanks to McCain and Palin.

I am for Obama because I have seen what has happened in my short life under republican control.

I will vote for Obama comming in november but it seems to me that this Mccain fella has a shot at it. For some reason..

If mccain does get elected, then we deserve what he will do to our country. Don't complain when in 4 more years, we are in wars, poverty stricken, and much more in debt to communist nations.

I see people on here all the time "i voted for bush for the first 2 terms, i wont vote for him again!" Keep it that way, don't be stupid. Republicans have had there 8 years already to show how incompetent they are. Don't give them another 4 to really stick it to us!

Calm down, people. This is the way republicans always campaign. They lie, tell half truths and twist every little detail to benefit themselves. The problem is that people fall for it. It just goes to show how dumb the general population is. They will blindly follow without even stopping to think that it's the same puppet-master pulling the strings (Rove) that has ran the country into the ground.

Personally, I don't trust them as far as I can throw them after all of the lies over the last 8 years. I would rather vote Mickey Mouse than let another republican into the whitehouse.
