McCain ad paints Dems as wolfpack hunting Palin

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/09/10/art.wolfad.cnn.jpg caption="New McCain ad paints Democrats as a wolfpack hunting Palin."](CNN) - John McCain's campaign released a new ad Wednesday that portrays Democratic operatives as a vicious wolfpack hunting VP nominee Sarah Palin.

“The attacks on Governor Palin have been called ‘completely false’...’misleading,’” says the female announcer in the 30-second spot, which points to a report from Factcheck.org shooting down many attacks on the Alaska governor. “And they've just begun.”

Watch: The latest McCain ad does a fact check on Obama

The announcer cites a Wall Street Journal column that 30 Democratic lawyers and researchers have been “air dropped” into Alaska “dig dirt” on Palin.

That column, by pundit John Fund, cites anonymous sources in reporting that unnamed Democrats have descended on Anchorage. The Democratic National Committee and the Obama campaign have denied sending anyone to Alaska to conduct research into Palin’s past.

“As Obama drops in the polls, he'll try to destroy her,” says the announcer, as images of a wolfpack appear on screen. "Obama's politics of hope? Empty words."

The McCain campaign said the ad would be airing in “key states,” although it did not say where, or how extensive the buy would be.

CNN, this is way too important of an issue to just turn the other cheek so quickly?

How is the media so quickly to attack the comment on LIPSTICK, and fail to attack McCain on his decision to approve his disgusting ad??

McCain crossed the line with his ad yesterday. People I know are outraged and are sickened by his attempt to betray the protection of innocent children.

After this, what people in their Right-Mind would vote for McCain? You read that McCain supporters – what state-of-mind are you people in?

This election is not about only electing Obama, but MOST IMPORTANTLY – protecting our children from McCain. McCain was Very WRONG to use this topic for his DISTORTED advantage, Very WRONG.

Anyone who crosses this barrier doesn't deserve anything. And I hope this subject comes out in the debates and SLAPS MCCain right in the face.

McCain cares more about Palin. But he seems to be very unsure and uncomfortable with his choice. So he is projecting his own insecurities on the democrats.

We democrats are more comfortable about our choice of VP.

Despite the McCain camps lies about Obama's accomplishment he has a many in a short period of time. McCain and Palin are the biggest HYPOCRITES I've ever seen. The Republicans should be ashamed of them but instead stick up for their lies and just repeat them.

Some of Senator Obama's accomplishments in the Illinois Senate:

Introduced legislation reforming ethics and health care laws.
Sponsored a law increasing tax credits for low-income workers, negotiated welfare reform, and promoted increased subsidies for childcare.
Obama supported Republican Governor Ryan's payday loan regulations and predatory mortgage lending regulations aimed at averting home foreclosures
Sponsored a bill to monitor racial profiling.
Voted on over 3000 bills. Voting present is a common practice in the Illinois Senate if you want to keep the bill alive to make some corrections. He only voted present less than 1% of the time.

    US Senate:
Introduced "Lugar–Obama," which expanded the Nunn–Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons
Co sponsored the "Coburn–Obama Transparency Act," which authorized the a web portal to make congress spending public information.
Introduced follow-up legislation: Strengthening Transparency and Accountability in Federal Spending Act of 2008.
Sponsored legislation requiring nuclear plant owners to notify state and local authorities of radioactive leaks.
Co-sponsored the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act, which was signed into law in September 2007.
Introduced the Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007.
Sponsored the "Iran Sanctions Enabling Act"
Co-sponsored legislation to reduce risks of nuclear terrorism.
Sponsored an amendment to provide one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries.

These are just some of Obama’s accomplishments in his short career. Where are the Fact Checks and Snopes on these Republican smears and false rumors which are coming directly from the McCain campaign itself?

mccain and palin are the biggest joke in the history of american elections, I have never seen such liars and distortions of truth since thelast rovian election by dubya and lord chenader. The GOP are scared because they know the real change is coming and soon they know they are going to be out of power. Yes we the people have made up our minds we are sitting back and waiting until 11/4, then you will see like the primaries the largest number of democrats in history come out and rip power away from the GOP and give it to Obama and Biden, where the power belongs with us. Where we can help the people. Get out your check books GOP ers its payback time. The middle clas is rising up and demanding that we the people are heard. Obama/ Biden, and Clinton will be there and alot of other brilliant democrats this is our time lets take back our country...

sounds accurate to me. Obama feels he is a once in a lifetime politician and Palin also posing as a unique candidate is stealing his shine and you best believe he will do and say anything to change that.

This is entirely transparent. This was the plan all along.

McCain picked Palin so he could use her as a prop to say that the Dems are picking on her, regardless of what they say, who said it, the context, and so on.

Now, what does that say about McCain's opinion of women and of the electorate in general?

I for one see right through it and will not vote for someone who thinks I am so stupid that I would fall for this. Join me in rejecting these tactics and the politicians who employ them.

"Obama's politics of hope? Empty words."

At least Obama has a policy. McCain and Palin just throw charges of sexism against anyone that has the "audacity" to inquire as to her qualifications.
