McCain ad paints Dems as wolfpack hunting Palin

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/09/10/art.wolfad.cnn.jpg caption="New McCain ad paints Democrats as a wolfpack hunting Palin."](CNN) - John McCain's campaign released a new ad Wednesday that portrays Democratic operatives as a vicious wolfpack hunting VP nominee Sarah Palin.

“The attacks on Governor Palin have been called ‘completely false’...’misleading,’” says the female announcer in the 30-second spot, which points to a report from Factcheck.org shooting down many attacks on the Alaska governor. “And they've just begun.”

Watch: The latest McCain ad does a fact check on Obama

The announcer cites a Wall Street Journal column that 30 Democratic lawyers and researchers have been “air dropped” into Alaska “dig dirt” on Palin.

That column, by pundit John Fund, cites anonymous sources in reporting that unnamed Democrats have descended on Anchorage. The Democratic National Committee and the Obama campaign have denied sending anyone to Alaska to conduct research into Palin’s past.

“As Obama drops in the polls, he'll try to destroy her,” says the announcer, as images of a wolfpack appear on screen. "Obama's politics of hope? Empty words."

The McCain campaign said the ad would be airing in “key states,” although it did not say where, or how extensive the buy would be.

  1. LOVIN PALIN

When you attribute quotes to Palin:

1- make sure she actually said those words
example; she said "I put the plane on Ebay", not "I sold the plane
    on Ebay"
2- allow for the context of the quote to be framed
3- complaints about Sexism and Media Bias haven't come directly from Palin. The campaign , yes
4- DON"T EXPECT GOP MEN & WOMEN TO STAND BY WHILE SOME OF THE MEDIA AND SOME DEMS TRY TO CANNIBALIZE ONE OF OUR OWN, like you did to your own Hillary Clinton
NO WAY, NO HOW and LAY OFF THE KIDS

This is utter nonsense..How is this a gang-like, pack-like mentality when all people want are straight up answers? She is being coddled way to much by the McCain campaign. America should have the RIGHT to get to know her and explanations on some of her statements!

I like that, Obama is so brillant that we all see him as a true example of Jesus. I will support you all the way to the White House President barak Obama. Palin and McSame are full of jokes. They can not talk about issues, they used the same speech over and over where ever they go. Nothing new from the Republicans. Same old politic.

  6. Asian Guy in WI for Obama

CNN...you are a piece of crock for your pro-GOP headlines. For all the voters, research/compare your candidates and I bet you that Obama is the clear winner. For those of you who vote GOP for the sake of the VP being a woman, you are the dividers of this country...you are the sexists. For all the white people voting GOP because Obama is black...YOU need to stop playing the race card and quit accusing Obama of using the race card...you too are the dividers of this country.

For all the white people voting Dems, thank goodness your smart.

    Asian for Obama/Biden!!!

Oh, cry me a river McCain! I have never seen such hypocracy in my life...oh wait...yes I have...Bush's campaign in 2004. Now I remember.

Palin opened hereself up to anything the Dems throw at her after the vile remarks she has been making on the campaign trail about Obama.

McCain, if you want her to be the "attack dog" you better not cry about it when she starts taking some heat. I don't care if she is a woman, she is playing in the big leagues now. Suck it up!

    DEMOCRATS should RESPOND LIKE THIS:

"As Democrats uncover the truth on Gov. Palin to inform voters who don't know much about her, Republicans and the McCain campaign will cite sexism at any instant they get, and will try to smear the media who dare report the truth. Is hiding the truth Sen. McCain's idea of putting our Country First?"

Paliar, is the one who called herself a pitbull with lipstick. They play Barracuda at every rally yet she shouldn't be touched. Get over it and yourselves. She is the one who came out at the RNC slinging mud, that is a fact, and also lying continuously. Now when you guys get called on it it is wrong? I am sick to death of the repuglicans. If she can't stand the heat she needs to get out of the race. The repuglicans have run lies, smears and attacks against Obama for over a year, but that is okay right? WRONG! They deserve this and more.

Looks like someone needs to hunt Palin. No one knows who this woman is or what she really stands for. All we have to go on is what we read in the paper, hear on the news or worse yet, what McCain tells us.

I am a woman and I am sick and tired of everybody walking on egg shells to avoid "hurting" Palin's feelings. She's suppose to be this rough and tough gun toting, moose killing maverick, well surely she should be able to defend herself when someone says something about her. She claims to know so much about politics and how to run a country, then she should also know Americans are gonna want to know who she is and what she represents.

And somebody please tell me why is McCain so afraid to let her campaign by herself. She's supposedly ready to lead the country but can't even stand up to an interview.

Interesting choice of words as Gov. Palin is a well-known supporter of hunting down wolves in the viscious practice of aerial gunning.

The McCain campaign is worried that the American people are beginning to find out the TRUTH abouth Sarah Palin. What is so sad about all this, is that he USE A WOMAN TO DRUM UP VOTES, he did not vet this woman, he just used her for his polital ambitions.

More hypocrisy from the McCain campaign. It's interesting that McCain mentions wolves. Gov. Palin approves of aerial wolf-shootings in Alaska. Watch the video on YouTube. It's a disgusting, inhumane, & barbaric practice.

And if anyone has been misleading in this election, it's McCain/Palin. Factcheck verifies it btw.

I agree with Hillary: no way, no how, no McCain-Palin
