McCain ad paints Dems as wolfpack hunting Palin

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/09/10/art.wolfad.cnn.jpg caption="New McCain ad paints Democrats as a wolfpack hunting Palin."](CNN) - John McCain's campaign released a new ad Wednesday that portrays Democratic operatives as a vicious wolfpack hunting VP nominee Sarah Palin.

“The attacks on Governor Palin have been called ‘completely false’...’misleading,’” says the female announcer in the 30-second spot, which points to a report from Factcheck.org shooting down many attacks on the Alaska governor. “And they've just begun.”

Watch: The latest McCain ad does a fact check on Obama

The announcer cites a Wall Street Journal column that 30 Democratic lawyers and researchers have been “air dropped” into Alaska “dig dirt” on Palin.

That column, by pundit John Fund, cites anonymous sources in reporting that unnamed Democrats have descended on Anchorage. The Democratic National Committee and the Obama campaign have denied sending anyone to Alaska to conduct research into Palin’s past.

“As Obama drops in the polls, he'll try to destroy her,” says the announcer, as images of a wolfpack appear on screen. "Obama's politics of hope? Empty words."

The McCain campaign said the ad would be airing in “key states,” although it did not say where, or how extensive the buy would be.

How do these repugs continue to get away with this crap? Where are the real journalists who will ask real questions and maybe get some real truth out there? We have actual issues that need to be addressed and all we are getting from our media is fluff and camouflage and downright lies. This country has turned into nothing you can take seriously.

Obama just proved how empty his "change" rhetoric really is. Calling a woman a "pig"? This is the "new way" is this "hope". Obama is all about hateful drama. Wake up America.

Exactly what Abby said. If we as American's believe this ad, we deserve every bit of what we'll get.

    Republicans new methods:

    1. Attack
    2. Attack.
    3. Play victim card
    4. Play sexism card
    5. Attack.
    6. Repeat

This isn't suprising-both parties do it.

The Democrats just had to do a "surge to Alaska" because she's new to the Washington political scene. There's already plenty out there on McCain, Obama, and Biden-she's the new kid on the block.

Truthfully-she seems better equipped and dedicated to really doing what she says once elected than any of the above.

Wake Up America! We deserve better than this. We deserve better than we got the last time... and the time before. The public is being played like a fine-tuned fiddle.

Then she should run them down in a helicopter until they're exhausted, and then shoot them with a shotgun. Isn't that the Palin way?

God help us all if these idiots get elected- a frail panderer and a moose-shooting yokel.

    Pathetic.

The American electorate is proving to be the stupidest group this side of a herd of cattle. They might actually vote the Geezer and the Gimmick into office.

When is CNN going to actually post something about the issues?? You disgust me in supporting this gutter politics.

This election is the joke of the world and the media's complicity in it is pathetic. Like the media's support for the illegal invasion of Iraq your desire to fuel a campaign devoid of policy and integrity will come back to haunt you should these duo become elected.

Obama is a dirty politician. He will do anything...........ANYTHING.......to win this election. His true self is now being revealed.
    Principles – down the drain
    Change – down the drain
    Trustworthiness – down the drain.

    Shame on Obama.......

Hillary is a more principled individual who has nothing to prove to herself or anyone else just like Mccain because they have been there, done it..............so whatever they promise is more believable.
If one is close to our Lord and respects His teachings, one will not resort to this game. Obama is a Christian, so he says but there is no Christian values in his bones.

Um guess what McCain. There are probably 10 x's more journalists trying to do the same thing. The ones that you are getting your "reliable" information from.

At least someone is trying find out the details about her. You obviously didnt when you selected her – and you are not allowing the American Public the ability to learn more about her by questioning her capabilities directly.

There are only 8 weeks left in the campaign and the only thing this country knows about your VP running mate is a speech. Dont you think they deserve more than that?

Why does no one question McCain and his unopenness to let the people learn about the potential next VP?

John McCain doesn't even deserve to have me call him a senator right now. I'm not republican, but watching him through this campaign, he's acting like a 2 year old. he can't talk about issues so he attacks and makes false tv ads. Same old Washington politics.

Well maybe Obama should make an ad showing that footage of people shooting wolves from airplanes. The only state in the union to allow this barbaric practice. The ad should also say that the conservationists say that the wolves are NOT having a negative impact on the moose and caribou herds.

Let's be REAL, this is a person WHOM think they can run for an important position that continued to run away from the media, and the repubs camp was proud saying "OFF LIMITS". We haven't heard any sermon from her _astor, b_ _ _ fath_ _ and his _ _space page was a show of the company she does keep, and on, and on, and on. IF this is true, I do wish them LUCK, because...Dick & Sharon's LA Progressive NEWS:
Alaskans Speak (In A Frightened Whisper): One example....They’re all rich because they do private sweetheart deals with the oil company___. Like most other people interviewed, he didn’t want his name used out of fear of retribution. McCain and Palin...what are they going to do when another Country say something bad about her, what are they going to do when she NEEDS to speak with other Country leaders to keep us safe, WHINE and TELL them she is OFF limits? THIS IS RIDICALUS!!!!!!!!

Why does Gov Sarah Palin were a Isreli flag pin??? and not an american flag pin. I don't hear no one questioning it.

I can believe that Obama is like any other politician, and will do anything and say anything to win this election, which I am sure that Obama WILL NOT win against McCain/Palin.

I can believe that it probably is true about the Democrats (Obama included) did indeed drop in some 30 people to dig up dirt on Palin.

Obama might have led off to be a different kind of politician, but he sure did a bunch of flip-flops and now is acting as if he is the second coming!

    WAKE UP AMERICA!

So....you put your VP up there on a pedestal, not to be investigated by the media – the same as McCain and Obama have been about every single detail of their lives, she is your ATTACK dog, but can't be investigated at all? I mean, come on.

She gets special treatment because she's a woman? I'd rather have equal rights – thank you very much!

She wants to run with the top dogs – act like one!
