McCain ad paints Dems as wolfpack hunting Palin

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/09/10/art.wolfad.cnn.jpg caption="New McCain ad paints Democrats as a wolfpack hunting Palin."](CNN) - John McCain's campaign released a new ad Wednesday that portrays Democratic operatives as a vicious wolfpack hunting VP nominee Sarah Palin.

“The attacks on Governor Palin have been called ‘completely false’...’misleading,’” says the female announcer in the 30-second spot, which points to a report from Factcheck.org shooting down many attacks on the Alaska governor. “And they've just begun.”

Watch: The latest McCain ad does a fact check on Obama

The announcer cites a Wall Street Journal column that 30 Democratic lawyers and researchers have been “air dropped” into Alaska “dig dirt” on Palin.

That column, by pundit John Fund, cites anonymous sources in reporting that unnamed Democrats have descended on Anchorage. The Democratic National Committee and the Obama campaign have denied sending anyone to Alaska to conduct research into Palin’s past.

“As Obama drops in the polls, he'll try to destroy her,” says the announcer, as images of a wolfpack appear on screen. "Obama's politics of hope? Empty words."

The McCain campaign said the ad would be airing in “key states,” although it did not say where, or how extensive the buy would be.

I am REALLY disappointed in Sen. McCain. I thought he was better than that. IT'S a shame that he is willing to do anything to win and ALL of the idiots in his campaign. What about all of those people who are losing their homes and their jobs? What about the troops still on the battlefield? How we spend so much time talking about a woman who can't even take care of business in her own home. We better wake up and soon!!!!!! May God have mercy on us if these two people win the White House. God have mercy.

The people are going to have to tell the McCain people that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We want to hear about the issues and not the BS that they keep putting out. They don't realize what a turnoff this is to some voters, you have your stance Democrats & Republicans – what they are going to split is the middle.

Oh no, here comes the "holier than thou" attitude by the republicans. If people in this country are foolish enough to give the republican machine another go around, we don't deserve to have anything better than the last 8 years. She might not be from Washington, but didn't we already give a sharpshooting governor a chance. Look where that got us. Sarah Palin, give it up. You are not anything like Hillary Clinton. You are not anything like the majority of the governors and senators in this country. You have little to no experience do anything of importance. Maverick? please ....There are many women in the work force who are more qualified than you for this job. Stop being a fraud SARAH!

Sarah Palin is a straw soldier but the Dems get painted as sexist, and any other derrogative word when they defend their policies. The lastest one being the "lipstick on a pig" statement. I was at the event yesterday when Sen. Obama uttered these remarks and they were in no way directed at Ms. Palin.

As a matter of a fact, Barack would not allow the hugely anti-Palin/McCain crowd to boo either of these candidates but redirected the attention back on the issues. isn't that what we are voting on in the first place? Countless times Obama has defended his opponents and have shown them political courtesies that they have not shown to him. I find it infuriating that Palin can say anything about Obama and Biden and the crowd goes wild but Team Obama cannot even contrast the huge differences in the campaigns without getting lambasted by both the media and the Palin campaign.

I know that CNN won't post this because they are the primary culprits of biased news coverage deferential to Palin. FOX NOISE and CNN are practically identical in their political slant. It is sickening.

Yet, this extremely clean, sparkling image of an American who loves all and has never done anything un-ethical, illegal or corrupt STILL refuses to MEET the press....

If she is so clean, then why is she hiding behind a tree and having ads put out rather then discussing them with the media herself?

If she can't defend herself in front of others openly, then how the heck can she EVER be a good VP....she can't, she is a loser with no ability to defend her record when confronted face to face. All she has is lies spoken unchallenged to a camera.

Pathetic excuse of an american, as a person she should be ashamed of herself.

We just need some journalist to get her to answer some questions. No wolfpack needed-she would just fly around in her Ebay chopper and Maypalm all the wolves 🙂

DEBATE THE ISSUES!! This is nonsense, I have never seen so much effort to distract from the issues than from the McCain campaign. ISSUES ISSUES ISSUES !!! I couldn't care less about her lipstick, her moose burgers or the new Palin barbie doll. I want to hear their plans for the ISSUES OF THIS COUNTRY !

The press needs to check out Palin. Judge Judy was on the View and she is right. Palin is a nice looking person but dont nothing about her. She misleads people about e-bay, ear mark monies and can dish it out but her McCain cam can not take it. If she is a pit bull with lipstick then she should be able to take whatever comes her way. She took this V P position and nobody should let up on her. The American people can see she is only a pretty face because the real deal is that McCain will be the President and thats just wrong!!!! We we all vote and people will remember what we are going through and certainly McCain had a lot to do with it. He supported Bush 90% of the time. After 8 years of the mess that we are in we all know we need a change. Barack has always walk the talk and showed that he is concerned about the American people. Anybody that choses to do community service over getting a big lawyer 's job means a lot. Barack Obama is our next President to get us back on track. Those of you who vote for McCain are not feeling the pain of the economy we are in.

Sit back and relax as you loose. Take your pick relaxing in PR or Hawaii...

Actually it is McCain's people being dropped into Alaska to start the actual VP vetting process. These republicans are so confused and backwards. Why would anyone in their right mind vote them back into office?

Pure politics. Mccain/Rove are trying to blunt any real scandel that comes up. This leads me to believe there really is something there if they are trying to preempt it with this ad.

Didn't we have enough of the "wolf pack" ads in 2004?

MyCane/Pale-one can't seem to come up with any ideas that aren't stolen from somewhere else. How is it "change" if all you do is mock and steal, mock and steal?

In The Netherlands we have a "Palin" for years.
A lot of tough talk and no solutions on any issue.
But.... the people love it so I think for McCain it was
a good pick, but for America and the rest of the world
    it wil be a desaster.
Yesterday on this blog someone said, " in 2012 we wil have
a Palin/Clinton race". But I stil hope it wil be Baracks 2nd term!

Go Barack, this worls needs you!
    With love from the Netherlands
