McCain ad paints Dems as wolfpack hunting Palin

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/09/10/art.wolfad.cnn.jpg caption="New McCain ad paints Democrats as a wolfpack hunting Palin."](CNN) - John McCain's campaign released a new ad Wednesday that portrays Democratic operatives as a vicious wolfpack hunting VP nominee Sarah Palin.

“The attacks on Governor Palin have been called ‘completely false’...’misleading,’” says the female announcer in the 30-second spot, which points to a report from Factcheck.org shooting down many attacks on the Alaska governor. “And they've just begun.”

Watch: The latest McCain ad does a fact check on Obama

The announcer cites a Wall Street Journal column that 30 Democratic lawyers and researchers have been “air dropped” into Alaska “dig dirt” on Palin.

That column, by pundit John Fund, cites anonymous sources in reporting that unnamed Democrats have descended on Anchorage. The Democratic National Committee and the Obama campaign have denied sending anyone to Alaska to conduct research into Palin’s past.

“As Obama drops in the polls, he'll try to destroy her,” says the announcer, as images of a wolfpack appear on screen. "Obama's politics of hope? Empty words."

The McCain campaign said the ad would be airing in “key states,” although it did not say where, or how extensive the buy would be.

    THIS IS ALSO DUMB.
WHO DIED AND NAMED REPUBLICANS THE KINGS OF POLITICS?
If she wants to be V.P. you have to vetted by the country.
It's insulting that repubs and the fellow lipstick pigs even put out such idiocracy

I am still asking for a reply to a statement Obama makes in his book, Audacity of Hope, where he says " I WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS SHOULD THE POLITICAL WINDS SHIFT IN AN UGLY DIRECTION". What is he actually saying?

This McCain ad- is this the way grownups conduct a Presidential campaign to elect the next leader of the free world? Is this America– or is it Disney World?

Well maybe it's me, but couldn't Sarah palin shoot those wolves from a hellicopter as she likes and advocates doing?

When the GOP strategy is "Make our VP choice the bedrock of our campaign because our Presidential choice has nothing to really combat the Blue", it will become clear that these are not the pair to lead us into the next century.

No GOP plan for education, economy, Afghanistan/Pakistan... ape Obama's energy plan except just add drilling, and now trying to ape change. Let's open our eyes, and it's clear. Obama has the plan, McCain doesn't.

Maybe if the McCain wasn't so busy attacking and then having to defend themselves, they might actually get around to talking about the issues. The debate on issues from the Republicans seems to be few and far between. Every once in a while they throw in the word "change" and hope the American public falls for it...

I really hope America is smarter than that, or frankly you deserve what you get...

McCain's politics is deception and lies. He's trying to deceive the American people into believing he is going to give them what they want, which is change. Is this honor?

wow...Karl Rove painting someone else as the wolf pack...this just keeps gettng uglier, and it makes me want to throw up that people are falling for it. If Mccain wins, it will set a precedent, and this is how the presidential elections will be run from now on,not on the issues, but on who has the best smere attack...Well done half of America, well done...

Sarah, welcome to the big leagues. This is what happens to EVERY national candidate.

How are you going to make this nation better? I haven't heard even a consistent message come from your campaign on the issues.

McCain and Palin need to grow up and stop whining! They sound like Neil Cavuto whining about CNN's popularity as opposed to his TRUE HD. We stopped listening to both – Republican's and Cavuto. Oh wait! He is Republican! My bad!

mccain you silly old man, you just don't get it do you. we americans are suffering and could care less about you or palin, obama or biden. but what we do care about is which of you have the plans and ability to fix america for the better. we are paying 3/4 of a million per hour for loans for iraq and afghanistan, while most of us are having trouble paying for food, gas, mortgages, insurance, etc., john its not about palin, its about america.

It appears that the negative reaction to Barack Obama's "lipstick on a pig" comment is karmic justice for all his race card playing during this presidential campaign.

I guess you could say the pigs have come home........to roost. 🙂

Wow. The Republicans are ruthless. I guess it's only okay when they attack, lie, cheat, and steal. Well if Americans buy it, then they deserve everything coming to them.

Oh please... we are talking about a person that might be our next President! Are they going to show that ad in Russia if Putin decides to get though on Palin? This is McCain's fault for choosing someone that has not been vetted by anyone.

  25. Get over it..

    Woman voter here:
Any kind of scrutiny that she receives comes with the territory of running for an office that will be in control of a nation.

Obama has been getting intense slams, accusations, and even slanders from the GOP/McCain for over a year now.

It's less than 60 days before the election and all of a sudden, Palin comes out of nowhere with a questionable record. Moreover, McCain says she's tough and ready to lead. So in a week, you're crying?

Let her go through the gauntlet, like so many politicians before her. Why are you trying so hard to shelter her, when she could potentially change or even destroy our lives?
