Rangel says he will not resign over back taxes dispute

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Rangel is not resigning."]WASHINGTON (CNN) - Rep. Charles Rangel, a New York Democrat, said Tuesday he would not step down as chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means committee in the face of calls from the Republican leader in the House for him to resign.

Rangel has been under fire for failing to report income from a rental property he owns in the Dominican Republic. He admitted Tuesday he had not paid tax on the income, but said it was a mistake and that he would pay whatever back taxes he owes.

Rangel, tell them that you will resign if Palin does for colecting over three hundred days travel per diem while staying at home ! And Biden. How can you debate the anti christ? Run for your life. McBush tried to call Obama ‘The One’.
But look who is the Rock Star now and who has slipped in the Polls. Look who is adored and followed even though she is being investigated on several ethics charges. Look who has no experience or qualifications yet no one in America can see it. Look who belonged to a Doomsday Cult church in Alaska that believes the world will soon be destoyed and only Alaska will be spared. And still America’s eyes are blinded. So now who is “THE ONE” ???

Wow CNN, you seem to be closing these articles for comment pretty quickly. Tell it like it is Sen. Obama! By the way I just gave another $25 to your campaign this morning! I am a white, college educated, veteran who will not fall for these sad Republican tactics.

    You hypocrites!!!

Were any of you calling for McCain to withdraw when he failed to pay taxes on his Malibu home just a few months ago?

YOU are so typical of the problem we have in Washington.

Accuse, accuese, accuse... but no solutions!!!

Stop it. If you want to vote for McCain, go ahead, its your vote. But stop the namecalling because it always comes back at you!

    Typical politicians... ALL of them.

Do as I SAY, NOT as I do.

Both candidates would be better suited to making themselves look better by trumpeting their records and plans for our country instead of trying to make the other person look worse at their expense.

    Typical Democrat.

Surprised he didn't try to blame it on Bush somehow.

We have record spending and record corruption in government since the democrats took control of Congress.

    Time for a change.

    America can't handle more democrats.

Did McCain resign just a few months back when the property taxes were not paid on one of his many homes NO!!!, They said, it was just a little oversite.

That's what happens when you own so many homes you can't remember all the specifics.... Rangle pay what ever amount and move on.

Well since CNN, don't want to let my comment be listed to share TRUE information............PLEASE CHECK OUT STORY ABOUT PALIN...........Dick & Sharon's LA Progressive:

Just a example: Alaskans Speak (In A Frightened Whisper):
waitress......the waitress serving her table at the time and who asked that her last name not be used, Gov. Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat’s primary battle came up. that people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively. “It was kind of disgusting,” .....said in a phone interview after admitting that she is frightened of being discovered telling folks in the “lower 48” about life near the North Pole.

Yes, this is their fake CHANGE, I will not allow my children to think this is OK, I want them to love everyone without color being a problem!.
