Sarah Palin says she "didn't blink" when Sen. John McCain offered her the Republican vice presidential nomination and is confident she could handle the duties of president if necessary.
"I answered him yes, because I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can't blink," Palin told ABC News in her first interview since accepting the No. 2 slot on the GOP ticket.
"You have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we're on - reform of this country and victory in the war. You can't blink. So I didn't blink then even when asked to run as his running mate," she said.

Georgia of course is not a member of NATO so the question posed to Palin was an attempted trap. PLEASE CAMBELL ... I am an Independent who has happily anticipated this interview. I was horrified to see that I know more about the Bush Doctrine and foreign policy than Sarah Palin does. She is utterly frightening. I will certainly watch Nightline tonight and the rest of the interview tomorrow. I have now lost all the confidence I had in John McCain, choosing Sarah Palin was unbelievably bad judgement. It makes me sick that John McCain has hammered Barack Obama for being inexperienced – Obama is a Harvard educated Constitutional scholar and an attorney with 12 years experience in State and National government. Sarah Palin has been Governor of Alaska for 19 months and has a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. I truly fear for America if McCain/Palin were to be elected.

Her answers were rehearsed as if she had memorized them using flashcards like a high school student. Gibson hardly pushed her, but when he nudged her, she just repeated the same memorized lines or gave the old "non-answer answer." I can't beleive people are buying into this farce.
She is strong rather you like it or not, and think about this. Do you love your country? She love her country and she want the best for us, and she is not perfect and I beleive she and John McCain can get the job done and it will take times.

If you vote for McCain, then Palin gets 4 years in the White House that gives her the experience card and that will go against Hillary!!!
