(CNN) -Cindy McCain, wife of Republican presidential nominee John McCain, criticized the media at a weekend fundraiser, telling supporters that the hosts of The View “picked our bones clean.”

"In spite of what you see …in the newspapers, and on shows like The View - I don't know if any of you saw The View yesterday, they picked our bones clean - in spite of what you see, that's not what the American people are saying and what they are believing," said McCain, in a recording obtained by ABC News. "They are now seeing a clear difference with these candidates, and they are seeing who is going to make the best president, and that's why we're pulling ahead."

John McCain had a tough exchange with the hosts of The View during a recent appearance, during which he was pressed on the credentials of running mate Sarah Palin, claims in his campaign ads that co-host Joy Behar called “lies,” and how many houses he and his wife own.

You go Cindy. The Native People will be represented by John McCain who is from Arizona, one of the highest Native American population in America, and Palin's husband is Alaska Native. It's time Native America is in the White House and making decisions best for our people. Be picky about who you choose to be interviewed by, it's very obvious that many in the media are for Obama. We are for you and welcome you to our tribes!

maybe if the McCains and Palin simply ANSWERED a question instead of spewing a blizzard of words they wouldn't feel like their bones got picked clean... but they TALK AND TALK AND TALK and say nothing.... never an answer.

    Why is Cindy so tochy?
The media has a right to question the credentials of Palin who barely finished a university degree in 5 differet colleges.
The media is not doing its job. If they had, we would have know by now that the mother of Trig is Bristrol.
We would have know that she was picked because she like guns and hunting. Apparentely having not had an abortion is the only qualification she needs with a man who is almost dead running for the presidency.
If you hypocritical chirsitans want family value look at Obama and Biden. Both committed husbands who have been faithful to their wives even in death in Biden's case. Not lusty McCain and adulter Cindy, not to talk of the dysfunctional Palin family where durgs and teenage pregnancy and corver up abound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Media do your job!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I would've thought that Cindy would be used to having her bones "picked clean" after that whole drug addiction fiasco. But I guess a morning talk show is more important than a multi-millionaire heiress stealing from charities.

The Obamabots are out in full force again today. Cindy McCain is correct. While the media cuddles and feeds baby Obama his daily pablum, they are trying to destroy Palin & McCain,. Not going to happen this time. Obama's rise is over, he is on the way down. Oh and don't tell me about lies,. Obama is the greatest liar, and manipulator of them all.

Cindy No McShame...Even Karl Rove is disgusted with the lies coming from the McBush faction. With all of your money, one would think that you would have better things to do than try and buy your way into the White House. You and old man McPain need to retire and let someone with brains and integrity lead the country.

I did not see the view, but listened to the show on the radio. Barbara Walters was brutal and was unbecoming of her. Just from listening, she would not allow John McCain to finish a sentence without her budding in with some remark or requestioning. From listening, her tone was dehumanizing. If this is the turn she is taking in journalism, she needs to retire. Yes, she was disrespectful. I suggest some of the viewers should listen, not watch!

Generally, the posters have it right. Stop whining, Mrs. McCain. This is politics of the highest order. Your husband has been constantly attacking Obama with lies. Now, it's time your husband is attacked with the truth.

  12. Poor Cindy

Maybe Cindy go shopping to help her get her mind off of these bad media types who criticize her poor hubby....whats the matter- can't McCain complain for himself...he has to have his wife do it for him. Heck, he probably forgot about it already...a little dementia goes a long way.

John McCain wishes to pander to the Republican base...because he wishes to become president before he becomes too old to be president....He wants to use Sarah Palin as a pawn to get there, and Sarah Palin is more than glad to be used as a pawn in order to get herself and her religous beliefs into the White House. I'm sure McCain wishes he was already president, so he can be above all the tough questions, but some people aren't so lucky.

Unbelievable. We will see what happens with this election. If the American people did not learn their lesson after 2004, then maybe they will learn it after 2008.

Man, I hope that the American people learn their lesson sometime in the future and before we lose our whole country to foreign interests. At that point and not so certain if there will be any reason to vote at all.

Okay, okay, okay, the country is not ready to vote for Obama. Can we substitute him with someone like Bozo the Clown or maybe Spongebob. I mean, whatever works because anything is better than McLowIQ and Bullwinkle Killer. Actually, I think an actual Bush 3rd term is preferable to McDumb and Simon Sez. I hate to see the American people do this to themselves, yet again.

We are seeing a clear difference of media hype and forgiveness and love for the new one on the trail. Palin has no substance.

America knows she is a disgrace to Wemen, becuse she is being manipulated by the GOP/media. They deserve each other.

America is the laguhing stock of the world. It is unbelievable that the so called inteligent journalist are not able to make comments on the issues of substance. I am tired of Palin Palin and more Palin with no subatance.

Peole dont be fooled. make sure you vote in record numbers, because the delvils are on the prowl

Oh boy. You know tough questions have to be asked of ALL candidates, including Obama. He has had a relatively free ride with the press, even after many in the press acknowledged that. Still has not yet really answered many questions with specifics. Only that he is the ONE to change Washington. Please spare me how he will give you health care, lower your taxes. soak the rich, improve America's image in the world. He only says that he will do this stuff, doesn't really offer any specifics on how he will pay for it or really do it.. In a recent interview, he even explored the possibility of extending the Bush tax cuts. Yes people, he actually did. So the press should pick ALL of their bones clean. And angry liberals, please tone it down. That's what turns people off to the Dem party. I am myself a moderate/independent leaning towards Obama but I have to tell you, the rantings of the luney left give me pause if this is the kind of admin that he will have.

Cindy needs to stay out of it.

John has people to address these issues.

They've told so many lies and they can't backpadle from them, so they're trying to portray those who are questioning the lies and looking for the truth as the enemy or something.

Barbara Walters picked your bones clean?? Seriously? Barbara Walters?

    C'mon now McCain!!

When is some reporter really going to take this bunch of liars to town? Because Walters can't have been the worst one out there, she just can't be. She was just asking some simple questions that we all have a right to aks and they couldn't even answer those...

And now they're accusing Walters of picking their bones clean... why? because she didn't cuddle them to death! Some people really can only dish it out and not take any of it themselves... cry babies!

All those "witches" on the view are multi-millionaires. How dare they cast stones. They lives in Mansions with maids and every conceivable luxury known to man. I saw the whole interview and they are just jealous of John & Cindy McCain, it's obvious.

I am not a follower of John and Cindy MacCain and especially not Sarah Palin -she should be running for planet Mars with her thoughts of global warming and anti-sex ed.

However I thought Walters was especially poor in her interviewing skills and lact a lot of tact with her personal opinions. I don't care how many houses John and Cindy own. That has nothing to do with the race. He married a rich woman. Of course they own 7 or more houses.

It's about itme someone in the medai started asking some questions. I'm amazed he did't try to answer them by saying "I was a POW and I'm a war hero and I have 100% support from veterans." I am a Vietnam Veteran. This guy is so dirty. Go to youtube and search McCain Veteran, or McCain economy or McCain voting record, or just plain McCain. Many of the videos are his own words and many others are people that have been so unfortunate as to come accross himn in their lives. I have factcheck.org bookmarked. They aren't sparing on anyone, but whre they say things about "Obama stretches the facts" on some items they have 5 times as many "McCain totally flse statements"
