Cindy McCain: Tough interviewers 'picked our bones clean'

(CNN) -Cindy McCain, wife of Republican presidential nominee John McCain, criticized the media at a weekend fundraiser, telling supporters that the hosts of The View “picked our bones clean.”

"In spite of what you see …in the newspapers, and on shows like The View - I don't know if any of you saw The View yesterday, they picked our bones clean - in spite of what you see, that's not what the American people are saying and what they are believing," said McCain, in a recording obtained by ABC News. "They are now seeing a clear difference with these candidates, and they are seeing who is going to make the best president, and that's why we're pulling ahead."

John McCain had a tough exchange with the hosts of The View during a recent appearance, during which he was pressed on the credentials of running mate Sarah Palin, claims in his campaign ads that co-host Joy Behar called “lies,” and how many houses he and his wife own.

Mrs McCain, that is what the media is suppose to do...ask the tough questions for the public...yes us the US citizens.
As far as I am concerned "The View" did their job in asking the tough questions.
I am sure that you will not meet with every single voter to give us a chance to ask those important questions.
Then again, you are protecting Mrs. Palin from answering any questions of the voters.
So does this mean is avialble to us the voter? NO. Just like she was available to her staff and law makers of Alaska. She would schedule meetings but not attend because she decided to stay home.

Get use to the hard questions....that is what public life is all about!!!

    Go Democrats!!!!!

Face it, Cindy. A bunch of ladies on a women's television show completely owned you and your husband. Polls show it as an even race – and that will only be until the debates.

The "blame the media" game doesn't work when all the criticisms are accurate.

And thank God someone finally called McCain on the carpet. Why do they think they can get away with lies and just plain silliness without being questioned? Where do you they think they live? By the way, in our house you'll find an Independent and a Republican voting for Obama/Biden.

I have watched both Presidential candidates on the View, and it was really shocking to me. Being a woman I thought they made women look like a bunch of airheads with the way the cooed and awwed at Obama, They were so improfessional and flirtatious with him. The were busy asking him about issues. Yet when I saw the McCain interview they were grilling him.
I have no problem with asking tough questions. I welcome them, however it was obvious both candidates were not treated equally.

You couldn't find a more pleasant picture of Cindy McCain? Shame, shame, shame on CNN for their continued suttle, yet slanted position on the election.

McCain has sold himself and the nation to the Rape-publican Lying Machine.

Guess what., Cindy? The scrutiny's going to get a lot tougher!

    And rightfully so.

If McCain can't count his houses, he can't balance a national budget!!!

Say it with me, "If he can't count his houses, he can't balance a budget!"

Obama is drawing the biggest crowds, drawing in the most money, making the most sense, trying to talk issues and McCain is ahead in the polls?I do not believe it. There is something very wrong here.
When Obama went overseas, he looked and acted presidential, and was received with respect, and the foreign people stated they were hoping for an Obama win. No bump in the polls. Obama bringing in the huge crowds and setting records for the money sent in, no bump. The fantastic convention should have boosted his ratings way up. Nothing. Choosing the popular Joe Biden and no bump. Are all these new people that are registering as Democrats going to vote Republican? Not likely!
The American people are going to miss the opportunity of curing this country of the Bush and the Republican led congress disasters. Obama is a highly intelligent man and has as his running mate a man who could step into the presidency if that became necessary.
I have been thinking for quite awhile that something is very wrong here. I believe they are again about to steal the election. Why are we always so helpless in stopping them?

I am proud that the ladies on the View picked his bones clean. He and Palin have and are lying and they should be called on it. I noticed that he was squirming when those questions was asked as well he should have been because he knows he is lying.

If McCain and Palin are willing to lie so heavily during this campaign one can only imagine the lies they will tell to the American people once they are in office.

The way they have run this campaign is the way they will run this country, and, that is straight into the ground.

Ah Cindy, that scowl does not become John McCain's trophy wife. Maybe you should stay at home in one of your many houses so you won't have to take the heat from lowly voters like me. Let John's new trophy VP pick barbie Palin take the heat.

Cindy, the momentum brought on by Palin has lost you can not bring it back. McCain – P is going down in a hand basket, no more repubs this time around, the naked-lies and deception fo the repubs will not work this time.

Even Karl Rove is jumping ship, so, please do us a favor and go to the 7 houses you own and us more beer to party in November.

    Obama/Biden 08/12.

McCain's complaining over the media, after they had hands off of Palin for two weeks to coach her. The first outing she gets humiliated because she doesn't know anything! This bimbo is way out of her league.
