(CNN) -Cindy McCain, wife of Republican presidential nominee John McCain, criticized the media at a weekend fundraiser, telling supporters that the hosts of The View “picked our bones clean.”

"In spite of what you see …in the newspapers, and on shows like The View - I don't know if any of you saw The View yesterday, they picked our bones clean - in spite of what you see, that's not what the American people are saying and what they are believing," said McCain, in a recording obtained by ABC News. "They are now seeing a clear difference with these candidates, and they are seeing who is going to make the best president, and that's why we're pulling ahead."

John McCain had a tough exchange with the hosts of The View during a recent appearance, during which he was pressed on the credentials of running mate Sarah Palin, claims in his campaign ads that co-host Joy Behar called “lies,” and how many houses he and his wife own.

Poor miss Cindy. Your hubby has sold his soul to the devil. So much for Honor. Apparently, he's forgotten ten the Cadet Honor Code at Annapolis. When he picked Palin he was'nt thinking Country First, he was thinking Me First.

The media is supposed to ask the tough the questions. Its their job. The media shouldn't be biased though.

Cindy – Stop acting like you're the victim and tell your husband and his campaign to stop lying and start talking about the issues.

Talk about whiners! They demand to be treated as "anointed ones" who are above reproach, while they demean the American voter by demanding blind acceptance of obvious lies.

It is about time someone asked for an accounting. The View ladies have a lot more guts and courage than the mainstream media (who have been cowed by the Bush administration). This is a good example of how the media should act.

Certainly, don't believe what you are actually seeing. Believe what I'm telling you instead.

Obama is going to win by a landslide, lady. Deal with it.

Cindy- You and your cheat of a husband can't even admit that you have an adopted daughter until the DEMS started talking about how proud they are of their wives and children. You an Palin are just using your children to get sympathy votes just like you are using the "VIEW" to get sympathy votes. This is just unbelievable!!! HOW LOW AND DIRTY! HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT!

Well, well, well!!! After all, Cindy cannot continue to be like Aaron's beard - be seen and not heard. She has to let the public/voters know that she is just as much a fighter as her husband and the husband's running mate, who is a joke that you can't laugh at.

We ain't see all de people in de world.

As a women and mother, I am very offended by any and all media picking apart Cindy McCain, Sarah Palin and their families! Without realizing it, the low down playground bullying is only helping Sarah Palin and John McCain to win. The 40 somethings I have spoken to lately feel they are getting a bad rap, something that wouldn't be done to Michelle Obama because of playing the race card. This reaction by the democartes has made a lot of independants I know mad, and they are saying they will vote for McCain/ Palin.

As far as "Troopergate".... They guy should have had him job taken as well as any hunting license, and he should be investigated, fined and put in jail for child abuse for tazing his 10 year old step son. It sounds like he was abusive, and used his police auhority to abuse his x wife as well. This is something else that will only help win the "You go girl" female vote. It sounds like Mr. Trooper was a menace to society, and lets not forget drinking on the job. If she used her authority to fire him, she was doing the people of Alaska a favor.

Republicans are always so qucik to play the victim card.

America doesn't need leaders who whine and complain about how unfair everything is, we need strength! I mean, my God, if you can't hold up under intense questioning from the ladies on "The View", how exactly are you prepared to deal with the real pressures of the Presidency.

If picked our bones clean means asked for basic honesty.

As one, I think we Christians should ask for more honesty out of McCain and Palin. I don't like being lied to repeatedly, or being asked to repeat their lies. It is shameful.

Where is the old John McCain? You know the one with honor, dignity and decency.... Senator McCain, your soul is too great a price to pay for the presidency.

Oh Please, Cindy! Even Karl Rove said that your husband is sleezy. He is running a sleezy, dishonorable campaign and in the end, YOU LOSE!!!

    My she looks angry!

Unfortunately, she's also misguided. She says the American public is now "seeing a clear difference" between the candidates. Well, that's not quite right. McCain is so down in the mud now that he can hardly be seen at all.

What he stands for, what Palin stands for, is largely a mystery. All we really know is that he was a POW several decades ago; she likes to kill moose and wolves; and they are both so ambitious that they are willing to say anything, deceive anyone, to get elected.

And I guess in that respect, the difference is pretty clear.

Turns out Cindy McCain, its not the media's job to be nice to your husband...he's running to become president and that will more adversely affect my life than it will yours. The media realizes that and wants to call your husband on his shameless lies...good lord...its sickening how you, your husband, and your cronies have blamed everyone else but the republican party for this country's woes...

YOUR HUSBAND IS A SHADOW OF THE MAN HE ONCE WAS!

I am getting tired of all the lies that John McCain is spreading around. Who cares if he has 1 point lead in the National Poll. Obama is leading on the Electoral College. Remember 2000. No More 4 years of MCBUSH.

I hope the media keeps it up (all of them) with the tough questions so all of America can see the truth.
We cannot let the Republicans lie their way to the White House again.
Cindy, I thought you said there wouldn't be any negative campaigning, so stop complaining.

Oh wow. Are you freakin kidding me? Cindy–your complaining only makes you look like a spoiled rich girl, which of course you are. They asked honest questions–you know the kind of questions that journalists are supposed to ask. Every politician should be held accountable for what they say and what they do. What about Americans whose lives are being ripped out from under them because of the misguided Republican policies? And we are supposed to feel bad for you and your husband because someone was holding you both accountable? Huh? Puh leez.
