Cindy McCain: Tough interviewers 'picked our bones clean'

(CNN) -Cindy McCain, wife of Republican presidential nominee John McCain, criticized the media at a weekend fundraiser, telling supporters that the hosts of The View “picked our bones clean.”
"In spite of what you see …in the newspapers, and on shows like The View - I don't know if any of you saw The View yesterday, they picked our bones clean - in spite of what you see, that's not what the American people are saying and what they are believing," said McCain, in a recording obtained by ABC News. "They are now seeing a clear difference with these candidates, and they are seeing who is going to make the best president, and that's why we're pulling ahead."

John McCain had a tough exchange with the hosts of The View during a recent appearance, during which he was pressed on the credentials of running mate Sarah Palin, claims in his campaign ads that co-host Joy Behar called “lies,” and how many houses he and his wife own.

Cindy's husband was grilled because he is allowing his campaign to use lies, distortions, and personal attacks. His dishonorable behavior deserves rebuke from all who believe in intellectual honesty. As for Cindy herself, if this were thirty years in the past, she'd be perfect for Dynasty or Dallas.
If McCain can't even handle questions from the ladies on "The View," how is he going to handle being commander in chief?

She doesn't know what being "picked clean" is. They haven't been picked clean because they've offered no chance for the real examination that they owe the American voter. They've stonewalled in hopes that they'll slip in under the wire before people really see what they are (of course the right wing, as usual, wants what they already see, which is W all over again). John McCain said nothing on The View except "They're not lies." Some defense! John McCain is afraid to go anywhere without Sarah Palin in tow, because, without his "foghorn" he might actually have to start answering questions. And she won't go anywhere without him because she might be asked some tough questions. John, you used to be a favorite of mine–but you've sunk so low. The GOP moderates better hope that McCain loses, because any hopes that the party will acquire some real integrity instead of just a haven for the fanatic right will go down the tubes with his election.
Well at least the ladies on the View were talking about issues. I'm an independent democrat. Mostly vote democrat though I have voted Republican. Many of the viral emails I've been getting lately from my Republican friends are these thinly veiled racist attacks on how Senator Obama is not really an "American" ... what they are really saying is that he's not "white like us". I really don't want to believe what the polls are pointing out ... that many Americans just won't vote for a black man. Can we as a freedom loving people live up to the dream and judge a person by their character and not the color of their skin? I hope so.

In my opinion all the candidates should be asked tougher questions on all forums.There are too many difficult problems to be addressed and all parties involved should be held accountable for misstruths,slander and the reality of statements made and sanctioned by their spin machines.

Why is that everytime an interviewer asks the questions the voters want answers to it's attacking McCain and their campaign?

Its sad for McCain that he got challenged by the View women.
the *women* from the the casual TV show asked him questions he couldn't answer and was squirming. He got exposed and didn't have any proper answers and Cindy is saying these are "tough interviewers".

Imagine if the MSM whose job it is to report facts and ask tough questions did their job.
I miss Tim Russert. He was the only one who would ask the tough questions. Rest are all women. The View ladies are the real men.
