Cindy McCain: Tough interviewers 'picked our bones clean'

(CNN) -Cindy McCain, wife of Republican presidential nominee John McCain, criticized the media at a weekend fundraiser, telling supporters that the hosts of The View “picked our bones clean.”

"In spite of what you see …in the newspapers, and on shows like The View - I don't know if any of you saw The View yesterday, they picked our bones clean - in spite of what you see, that's not what the American people are saying and what they are believing," said McCain, in a recording obtained by ABC News. "They are now seeing a clear difference with these candidates, and they are seeing who is going to make the best president, and that's why we're pulling ahead."

John McCain had a tough exchange with the hosts of The View during a recent appearance, during which he was pressed on the credentials of running mate Sarah Palin, claims in his campaign ads that co-host Joy Behar called “lies,” and how many houses he and his wife own.

Oh well, Cindy McCain. Welcome to the real world. The View just took a stance and did what the media was needing to do with your husband and Sarah Palin's lying campaign agenda . Yeah, they picked his bones on the real issues and took him to task. And if Sarah comes on there, she is next. She won't be on there will all of that rhetoric and lies she spews at the rallies. The View hosts will take her to task too and call her out and come against those lies she continues to speak. The media needs to get some backbone and ask those same questions to McShame and his Palin cohort.

Actually, this IS what real Americans are talking about. In college, liberals AND conservatives are concerned about McCain's positions and his choice of Palin – men AND women. At home, in a mainly-conservative town, almost everyone is talking about what a horrible pick Sarah Palin was... and many are wondering what McCain was thinking. Don't let Cindy McCain try to think for you, think for yourselves.

I really don't care about anything but what is going on with our free world. How long will it be free and how long can the free world continue to pay high gas, lost of homes, jobs, food, education, insurance , and a host of other big problems we are facing. Cindy,Sara and little John does not extist in my world and you should do what dogs do with bones and that is to bury them. Sara insulted the Black race and according to Sara who stated she has Black friends and you are one of them you have just been insulted and you should run for your life. I am afraid of her and fear fifty years of back issues. and struggles. Sara has more baggage than the Clintons if you can believe that. Sara insulted Martin Luther King, Jesse Jackson, Harriett Tubman, Nelson Mandela just to name a few are Community Orgaizers. Please every race , color, size, man , woman, teens of voting age go out and vote. Please, please do not let the republicans with a small r get back in the white house. Do you realize what is going on and how bad this county is. Please, Please don't let this happen. Ladies if you are reading this comment don't let Sara and little John fool you for your vote . They are using you and you can't even see that.

For pete's sake, Cindy, stop your whining. At least the women on the view had the guts to ask the questions none of the other media will.

And, by the in touch with Americans are you, Ms. $300K+ outfit? When is the last time you had to run to the corner convenience store in the middle of the night on your way home from your second job to by some milk so your kids would have some for breakfast before they go off to school?

    Puhleeze! Give me a break.

I want to commend CNN for its very fair biography of Gov. Palin, "Sarah Palin Revealed." I say this as a former journalist, who has watched in disgust as journalists I knew in Washington turned into partisan lap dogs for the Obama campaign. Historical Democratic bias is nothing new, expected. This year has left that far behind. Your interviewer was refreshing. I'd like to see more of him.

"The American people rely on the media to help give them a clearer picture of our country's future leaders."

Yeah I have seen the media tear apart the dishounorable Biden. Not!!

The more you read about Biden's past the more you don't like the guy.

I actually saw some of this interview. In the interview, Senator McCain was anything but forthcoming in his answers. If, the Presidential want to be can't even give honest answers to Americans, how is he going to lead the strongest nation on earth? He can't. AS for his wife? Let they who have no skeletons cast the first stone, and she definitely does not foot the bill. I don't see why the DNC doesn't air her problems and attitudes, as they have Obama's wife.

When politics becomes nothing else but a game to manipulate opinions through distortion of words and cut and paste; and when lies become the norm and the practice; we the voters form long lines in front of the "Lost and Found" department seeking the truth!

She has nothing to complain about... if her husban would tell a shred of truth they'd leave him along. She should go home and wait for the nightmare to end.

In 1996, Bob Dole, a true honorable war hero (who doesn't parade his heroism – that truly makes him a hero), ran an honorable campaign and lost. The Republicans didn't understand how the nation voted to re-elect Clinton (gee, strong economy isn't a good reason?), so they decided the problem was they ran an honorable campaign.

So in 2000, they ran a dishonorable campaign and won. In 2004 the Democrats countered by nominating another honorable man, John Kerry. The GOP ran an even more dishonorable campaign against him. It worked.

So in 2008, the Republicans decided to take dishonor to a new level. But they will find that you can finally go too far. "Swift-boating" has entered the common lexicon; this means that swift-boating will no longer work.

It is my sincere hope the medie keeps after the McCain sleezy tactics the worst of which is adding Palin to the ticket ,be it done by talk shows, comedy, or the news anchors. We had Bush foisted on us twice. We don't deserve another round of disengenuous figureheads.

THE VIEW picked their bones clean? Wait until McCain gets in front of REAL journalists. The ones he's avoided talking to for 4 weeks. I've heard of Presidents with "bunker mentality" before... never a presidential CANDIDATE.

Sarah Palin wanted to censor a book called "Pastor I am Gay" at the library in her little town.

McCain is winning and will be winning by a larger margin next week. After the debates, Obama will be unmasked as he is finally forced to answer a questions without a teleprompter or Mr. Axelrod.

John McCain is senile and has sacrificed all his integrity. I don't know who would vote for a man who would give up his integrity just to win an election. The thought of him in the white house makes me want to VOMIT!!!
