Cindy McCain: Tough interviewers 'picked our bones clean'

(CNN) -Cindy McCain, wife of Republican presidential nominee John McCain, criticized the media at a weekend fundraiser, telling supporters that the hosts of The View “picked our bones clean.”

"In spite of what you see …in the newspapers, and on shows like The View - I don't know if any of you saw The View yesterday, they picked our bones clean - in spite of what you see, that's not what the American people are saying and what they are believing," said McCain, in a recording obtained by ABC News. "They are now seeing a clear difference with these candidates, and they are seeing who is going to make the best president, and that's why we're pulling ahead."

John McCain had a tough exchange with the hosts of The View during a recent appearance, during which he was pressed on the credentials of running mate Sarah Palin, claims in his campaign ads that co-host Joy Behar called “lies,” and how many houses he and his wife own.

Cindy, you are correct. The people can see the difference between McCain and Obama. People can see that McCain is a lying snake along with Palin who have nothing to offer in terms of plans to move the country forward, but negativity. People want a plan to address our issues not cynisim and negativity.

I saw the View and I thought the girls did a bang-up job. It all really started when Barbara asked McCain why he would approve some of the lies their ads are saying like the one about Obama wanting to give kindergartners sex education... gimme a break folks. I hope everyones not going to vote for the biggest liar, like they did in the last two elections. Please, we really need a break in old politics as usual!!

And that's what they suppose to do! This is not suppose to be a picnic,Ms. Cindy! The American people rely on the media to help give them a clearer picture of our country's future leaders. If you and your husband stop telling so many lies, you won't be so sensitive. The media so expose all hyprocrites! The View rocks! and still awaits Sarah!

  6. Please...THe Truth Hurts!!!!!

Finally...It takes an old school journalist, Barbara Walters to do what most journalist today will not do. Demand and answer and the truth from candidates!!! Even young dumb dumb co-host what's her name had to ask a question...not to hard mind you to suck-up to her boss was funny to watch McCain squirm as he tried to dodge answering obvious question on the his campaign's veracity and his risky pandering campaign gimmick Palin. By the way Hillary I am still waiting for you to do "all you can do to help Obama. That means going after McCain and Palin with the same vigor you went after Obama....Hello?...
I still only hear crickets...and the aged wine named Cindy...Lastly, Here's a line Obama can use...Change and reform from a party that hires the fox to protect and guard the hen house...yeah right!

Cindy and John are attempting to roll into one giant, cumbersome ball "The Liberal Media" in a transparent attempt to inoculate themselves against criticism. They're doing this because their campaign is built not only on lies but on Rovian whoppers. John McCain is a liar. Rick Davis is a liar. Sarah Palin is a liar. It really is that simple.

Get enough voters to resent the media and they'll disregard all the lies such outlets will expose in the coming weeks. The question is this: Are we stupid enough to fall for it?

OMG! Who actually believes this hogwash?

Hopefully the press will continue to do their job and ask tough questions of all the candidates- one of the great privileges of living in the United States.

For those still in doubt: please research the issues well, and make sure you do your own research before believing the lies that the McCain/Palin team are spreading: Palin did not oppose the bridge to nowhere (she did so only after supporting it), Palin did not go to Iraq, Palin does not support stem cell research, and the list goes on. It is scary to think that an uneducated, right wing republican with views from the dark ages, could actually become the US president if McCain gets elected and then something happens to him. Do not make the same mistake many made in 2000 and 2004 when they voted for Bush! The stakes are higher now.

The ladies of the view (most of them) acted outrageously. To accuse McCain of spreading lies was outrageous. Obama flat out knew what he was doing when he threw out the "lipstick on a pig" statement. Why else would his campaigne have a statement already prepared saying McCain had once said the same thing? Because Obama knew saying what he said would be related to Palin, he knew there would be a controversy. Obama serving Drama (and then acting sooooo holier than though). Watch out Obama, your horns are showing.

The republican party thinks that the US has become it colony and that they are only answerable to God, that is why Palin keeps on talking of the holy war in Iraq, much like the Devine Right of the Kings, they are operating like a monarchy.

Cry me river, finally someone started asking the real questions and you people cry foul play. McCain/Cindy:"How dare this commoners questions us don't they know that I am filthy rich, you should be grateful that I even allow you to be in the same room as me... Americans should just be like good old sheeps that they are and bend over and take what ever we (republicas) say as the word of God.

If only they really did finish the job picking your bones clean maybe you could stop the sleasefest and lies. The McCains have some nerve pulling what they are pulling. McCain was supposed to be above this...

At least Obama / Biden have kept out of the gutter. They have only defended themselves and offered compliments about Palin. You have turned every compliment into a Sexism War Cry. Dont paint Obama with what the Media says. Its not the media's fault either you built this annoucement up so much and since you picked from outside the normal cast the Media has to scurry and find what they can.

Palin needs to stop talking about the bridge to nowhere she makes her self sound like a fool. She fully supported it and specifically because the Rep. were in power and could push it through. Only after the Congress killed it she turns and says thanks but no thanks then keeps the money. She said just the other day even if it went through Alaska has bigger Infrastructure concerns and would have used the money for other projects. Hmmm thats not what the earmark was for... technically shouldnt you need a new request for projects other then the one you asked for? Still Palin kept the money real reform would have gave it back. Then run on a platform of no earmarks... this isnt anything new this is the same old stuff its not going to swing this time.

She knows nothing of foreign policy only what she is told but her handlers and aren't they the same folks we have been on this ride with for the last 8 years? We tried this before with George, take someone who knows nothing about the world outside the borders surround him with "experienced" people. You cant just pick this stuff up you have to know what your talking about or your just following someone else. Thats not a commander in cheif if the brains are outsourced to someone else.

Anyone still reading? Well I've had enough I'm going to open my wallet and send Obama/Biden to the W.H. and dont forget the Congress real change will need fresh faces and a majority. Sorry my fellow Republicans we went to far this time...

Obama/Biden 08 we'll see how you do maybe 12 if your good.

I'm surprised she wasn't relieved they didn't ask him about her stealing medicine from poor sick babies! Now that would be picking bones clean! I sure don't want a woman who put herself over sick children as first lady. She could have very well fed her addiction with her money!

Cindy is claiming it is unfair. Why?
Because her husband couldn't or didn't answer questions?
Because when confronted with women who are not afraid to try to find the truth about Palin, he didn't know what to do?
Because he was afriad to lash out at his questioners when cameras are rolling, because he would look like the sexist he seems to be? Or is it just because he didn't have Palin there so he could go, "Look, it's a woman."?

They picked your bones clean because that is what happens when things are run the way Republicans run their campaign.

'In spite of what you see (in reality) that's not what people believe!'

Oh, give me a break. People, even those who are on the new Sarah Palin bandwagon, will come to their senses and see the truth soon enough. The McCain campaign is running such a negative campaign with lies and slander that pretty soon, no one can deny it. Even Karl Rove is saying enough! haha

The View did hit McCain pretty hard, but he only came on the show to help improve his image to white women. And everybody knew it, so the View (who is mostly hosted by white women, and has a big white women audience) hit back and tried to make him answer some tough questions. I don't believe they "picked their bones clean", the questions were all legitimate and answerable. And lets ALL face it, the McCain camp is flat out lying! EVEN KARL ROVE, THE BIGGEST LIAR EVER ADMITS IT! Sarah Palin was against the bridge to nowhere, but she was for it before that. THERE ARE TAPES TO PROVE IT!!! And why not just say, i have 8 houses. Why not? I mean Obama is rich too( he doesn't have 8 houses, but still rich) and has more than one house. Come on, just admit you are lying or ATLEAST stop lying. Lets make this election about issues and not personality.

The ladies from "The View" are the only ones in the media to their jobs and expose John McCain's lies so far, and they' are not even real journalists. Considering McCain has blatantly lied to the American people during this campaign, do you really think he's going to be straight with us in the White House?

Vote for real change! Vote for Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden.
