Protesters interrupt Obama

CNN

Protesters holding posters saying Sen. Barack Obama was endorsed by the KKK are escorted from his speech

(CNN) - Barack Obama's campaign rally in Coral Gables, Florida Friday was interrupted by a group of about 10 African-American protesters holding signs that called themselves, "Blacks Against Obama."

The signs said Obama was for gay marriage and abortion, and said his candidacy was "endorsed by the KKK." Another sign said, "Jesse Jackson hates Obama."

Obama originally said the protesters could stay inside the event, but they were escorted out when they would not stop shouting.

Well, this is a twist! But the fact that the protest group was TEN people should say it all. In fact, this is the first I've read about protestors at any Obama rally.

Any intelligent, informed voter will put policy ahaead of race or gender.
    Are you one of them?

Inexplicably strange. I don't know how to comment on this. I'll try. There are many African Americans that are against gay marriage and abortion. No real news here. But has the KKK really endorsed Obama? Is that a serious accusation?

Jesse Jackson hates Obama? My guess is that there may be a bruised ego on the part of Jackson for his own personal reasons, but I don't think that he hates BO.

And... I really can't stand the hecklers and protesters of all stripes. There is a proper forum for venting political opinions – and screaming insults while the Prez candidates and VP candidates are delivering their addresses is not acceptable political discourse.

No doubt these people were paid by the Karl Rove wing of the GOP.

In a time of crisis, how about we obstruct tan intelligent talk about solutions and throw in a great divide on unrelated issues?

Disgraceful. Unecessary. An attempt to make headlines.

Now, I wonder who paid them to do that? Are they demonstrating because McCain was interupted so many times on the trail? Obama has consistantly say he do not believe in gay marriages and he is not an advocate for abortion. However,he believes as most Americans do that people have a right to make their own choices.

God gives each of us the right to choose. I am a democrat who do not believe in gay marriages or abortion so I will not participate in any of those things. There is much more problems with this country than gay marriages and abortion.

CNN – I knew you'd bottom-feed and show this – and not report on the issues that affect women that Obama was addressing head on!

WOMEN WILL DECIDE THE VOTE. START COVERING OUR ISSUES. EQUAL PAY, HEALTH CARE, PARENT CARE, CHILD CARE.

It's too bad, he even let them stay so they could hold up the signs but they had to go and shout. Remember, your freedom of speech only goes so far as to NOT impede / stop someone elses freedom. He has the right to speak without them shouting and covering up his free speech. They have signs, why isn't that enough for them? How foolish...

Love the way he handles them. A lot of their signs didn't make much sense. Does that mean they will be voting for McCain or not at all?

Yeah. Because saying the KKK supports Obama REALLY makes your argument believable.
