Schneider: McCain scoring points
OXFORD, Mississippi (CNN) - McCain's scoring points on Obama's opposition to the so-called surge in Iraq, a buildup of forces that McCain vigorously supported.
Obama's argument is that McCain was wrong on going to war in Iraq. McCain's arguing that Obama was wrong on the surge.

This is suppose to be McCain's turf, but they are doing about even.
McCain better pick it up with the remaining half hour because he is not going to do well on the next two domestic debates.
Neither was right 100%. The question is how it will be handled moving forward.
I disagree... Obama seems to be debating with McCain. McCain is debating with the moderator.

Who cares about a surge. The surge did not win the war in Iraq, and is just a small move forward. It does not fix the big mistake of ever going into Iraq in the first place, and will not leave to "winning". There is no way to "win" that kind of war. Why put more money and people and deaths into surges when the most it could do it advance you a little.
The surge isn't the issue. It's the STUPID judgement that sent us into that FOOLISH war. And McCain had that STUPID judgement.
Yes and you want to hear what.... ... WE ALL KNOW WE SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE INTO IRAQ...... a surge...???? hum.... we should not have gone into a war of choice not preparing our sons to fight and kill those who did nothing to us..

I don't know that he is scoring points when you go back to the fact that the American people were lied to when we went into Iraq. We went on false pretenses thanks to this Republican President that John McCain is so attached to.
Well he was wrong on the surge!!! How could Obama not acknowlege that he was wrong!!! Just like he is wrong for the country at this time!!!!
Win WHAT??? Can somebody PLEASE tell me what we stand to WIN in Iraq? What win???!!! It frustrates me so to hear McCain continually talk about winning in Iraq, but what the heck is winning?
This surge business is getting old...we shouldn't be there in the first place, ergo McCain loses.
Really, the story tonight is how McCain is playing small ball with each issue, and does not get the big picture. A sinking ship requires big action, not fingers plugging leaks.
Iraq war was wrong, we need to get out and stop sending money to them, we need that money here to fix our economy.
