Schneider: Obama hits familiar chord on Iran

OXFORD, Mississippi (CNN) - Obama's answer on Iran was interesting and important...because he's talking about something that a lot of American's understand:

Our involvement in Iraq has strengthened Iran.

Watch: Obama says there needs to be 'tough diplomacy with Iran'

McCain does not understand it; I keep saying this-McCain needs to understand what happened in Iraq on more than one level. It has aided Al-Qaeda and Iran is sitting pretty right now.

McCain disrepects the life and memory of every soldier who has been lost in Iraq, including my own brother.

    My entire battalion hates McCain.

We are over here dying. We deserve COMPETENT leadership.

    GO OBAMA

    Vote for the TROOPS!

    Vote for OBAMA~

Iran had 2 great enemies in the region: 1) Sadam in Iraq, and 2) Taliban in Afghanistan. They are both are destroyed by guess who?!

Obama is on the right side of this Iran issue. McCain only understands sending in our troops , not avoiding doing that if we can.

If you won't talk to other leaders, then you can never find common ground. I think McCain just doesn't UNDERSTAND and is out of touch with current times. It is not the same as when he was in the Navy.

    Yes McCain,
If you talk to Iran and they threaten to destroy Israel, we tell them:
"NO, YOU'RE NOT!!!" That is not a ludicrous idea!

Obama is giving us his plan. McCain keeps saying he "has a plan," but I've only heard about...well...NOTHING! I've always voted Republican, but not this time...NO WAY! NO MCCAIN! And certainly NO PALIN!

ryan, it's probably worth talking about how we got in iraq, so perhaps we can avoid doing the same thing in iran...

Why do I always feel like McCain's response to any question is just an attack on Obama? Obama makes statements on what he wants to do, what his strategy is, and/or what his goals are in answering a question. Then McCain comes up, and he directly attacks something Obama said every time. Many times getting called out by Obama that something he stated was not true, only to see McCain get a smirk and say "I know how to do this" and/or "he just doesn't understand". Can McCain show a little respect during all of this?

I like to know why CNN is displaying the ridiculous Analyst Scorecards during the debate. No cares what six talking heads think in real time, and we barely care what they think at other times. This is not about what your talking heads think. Remove them please.

Wow, Obama is clearly pulling the wool over many eyes here!! LOL
Are you all kidding me? Obama is reading from note cards and can't speak in a fluid sentence.
McCain is speaking naturally ... from experience.

I can tell CNN's board is full of left wingers! So sad!
You would elect someone inexperienced to lead our country during times of war and economic strife just because you are of the same poltical "party".
Well folks, it seems all of you don't know what you support either because Obama has not said one thing about what he will do about anything. He has grandise ideas but no strategy ... no plan.

Would McCain treat other world leaders with whom he disagrees with the same lack of diplomacy and patronizing tone as he is tonight towards Obama?

McCain doesn't even know what Henry Kissinger said. He did say we should meet without precondition. What is wrong with McCain he sound ill informed.

McCain seems almost "giddy" about war. Scary. And something you need to recognize unless you want to ALWAYS be at war with SOMEONE.

It is all because Obama speaks the language average American s understand. His rhetoric is simple, direct and void of entanglements.
