Schneider: Obama hits familiar chord on Iran

OXFORD, Mississippi (CNN) - Obama's answer on Iran was interesting and important...because he's talking about something that a lot of American's understand:

Our involvement in Iraq has strengthened Iran.

I'd like to congratulate Obama on his rstraint for not blasting McCain for letting his VP candidate sit for a photo op yesterday with a man who he claims is our mortal enemy.

It's a "policy" Ryan because he opposes war and would use it only as a last result. Bush got us into this mess – and McCain voted for it!!

Senator Obama is dominating this debate! McCain won't look at him, refuses to admit where he is wrong and has no true response to Obama's arguments!

Neither McCain norBush understood the Shia-Sunni dynamic before we went into Iraq and McCain still doesn't. Of couse the war has helped Iran.

It's not about who's to blame for the past, it's about the type of president we need when another Iraq has to be decided.

Obama is right on point on this one, he's not dwelling on the past, hes telling us how he will make military decisions in the future.

Its not the past..because the next president will be walking on eggshells just to get us out of this mess. And Obama needs to mention that Iraq's new govt is friendly with Iran and will someday soon turn on us to be friendly with their neighbor.

I think McCain has felt the horrors of war. He does not want war, but if were in one he wants to win. He aslo understands we dont want a boat with a nuke in it pulling into Harbor in NY.

Obama has a good plan to get us off of foreign oil. We greatly need this independent approach on energy. It's truly a big problem.
