ST. LOUIS, Missouri (CNN) - Sen. Joe Biden said the economic bailout bill is evidence that the U.S. has had the "worst economic policy we ever had."

Biden made that statement in response to the first question of the vice presidential debate.

Watch: Biden talks economy

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said a barometer for how Americans are feeling about the economy can be felt at kids' soccer games.

Palin said Americans are "scared."

She praised Sen. John McCain's efforts to help get to an economic bailout bill passed.

Biden said Barack Obama warned of the subprime mortgage crisis two years ago while McCain recently said he was surprised about it.

Who care how they voted at the time. There are so many sub-bills tacked on to the main bills, there is more than one reason to say yes or no. I want to know the answer to how we are going to fix things now!!

Sarah Palin has a certain number of answers that she is going to through out regardless of the questions. She just told Sen. Biden and the Moderator that she isn't going to talk about de-regulation, she's going to talk about taxes.

Why wont Palin answer about deregulation. Could it be Biden is right? I think so. And why would I want to go to some kids soccer game this Saturday? That would take gas and time, that I as a mother of 3 dont have.

Was she trying to say that this is the American peoples fault. We should spend in or means. These sleezy banks told poor people they could afford half million dollar homes. People that didn't have a clue what would happen to them. Lots of them black. I didn't like that comment.

Man...can she speak like someone running for public office....noone says heck anymore, especially not three times in a VP debate. As "nice" as she may be, I cannot imagine her as the commander in chief of the US military (you know in case something should happen to the 72 year old Presidential candidate).
