ST. LOUIS, Missouri (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin blamed some of the U.S. financial crisis on Wall Street during the vice presidential debate.
"You darn right it was the predator lenders," said Palin. "There was greed and corruption on Wall Street."
Watch: Palin: Economy is hurting
Biden blamed some of the crisis on deregulation policies that John McCain believes in.
"He voted for deregulation and that is why we are in the crisis that we are in," said Biden.
I agree that it's predator lenders, however what about the people who took loans out knowing they could not afford their homes. There is not just one side to this dilemma.
yes, there was greed on behalf of landers, but even more greed on behalf those who wanted to show off and look more than they are, grab more than they can handle, and for that they fully deserve to burn now. Once burned twice careful.
she is not answering the questions.....
Who is Joe Sixpack? "George W Bush
saint paul mn – there may not be millions in AK but I can tell you there are more extremes in our populations than you can imagine. We deal with major international corporations and on the end there are villages with 26 people in them. She represents them all equally.
Has she paid attention to the "greed and corruption" that her McDaddy has been shoveling? Maybe she should look at what is really happening and stop regurgitating McCain's lines.
Avoidance by Palin. BIden breaks down the facts. Palin is condescending.
Agreed Liz.
How come Gov Palin never answers the question?
She has really never answered a question...she just goes round and round....
"Darn right," is she trying to be cutesy???? Not working for me....
How sad...she's like a paper cutout...all show and no substance.
you guys are just determined to find fault..and there is none...
GO JOE GO! Joe Biden is winning this debate.
My favorite is when she said: "let the private sector grow and thrive."
That was definitely NOT the thing to say right now.
The bailout is packed with pork, which we as taxpayers will pay. Yes there is greed on Wall Street, but also in Congress. they added on all this junk to make it more acceptable to McCain cronies.
Biden: "..the ultimate bridge to nowhere.." -- touche, love it!
she can't answer a simple question, without making it sound complicated, nerve recking.
She seems to be like a robot who practiced all week long! Darn right...
This truly does sound rehearsed. I knew it was not just me!
She definitely is doing a good job working the camera
Gov. Palin needs to relax and be herself if that is possible. She always sounds and looks rehearsed. I just cannot see her as the number leader of the free world.
Yikes. She sounds like a cheerleader. All that's missing is the pom poms.
Interesting how she says that we need regulation on "Wall Street" but then says that the government needs to stay out of the way to let America grow. Sounds like a contradiction to me...
To anyone who has to cover themselves, their spouse and two or more children; especially the families who have 4 or 5 children... With McCain saying he will give you 6,000 tax break for health care for you family is that really enough to have complete health care for your ENTIRE
At least she looks like she's ready for a fight........I think she picked up on calling them by their FIRST NAME! You go, girl!
