Schneider: Insider v. outsider

ST LOUIS, Missouri (CNN) - Sarah Palin is portraying herself as a Washington outsider, as a so called "hockey mom." She's trying to portray Joe Biden as a Washington insider.

At least she's looking at him! John McCain could have been on stage alone, for the amount of times he looked at Obama.

Palin can't keep avoiding the questions and the subjects at-hand. She's too obviously falling back on her debate training.

Palin sounds like she has rehearsed all of the talking points. She sounds as my children would say "fake." In fact I don't know if she believes what she is saying. It's sounds as if she is rambling on. This debate has not changed our minds not one bit about my choice. OBAMA AND BIDEN IN 08!!!

Biden demonstrates his liberal amnesia again. How is McCain like four more years of Bush?? The last I checked McCain was a major thorn in the side of Bush.

The problem with the economy was created by the greed and lust for power in Washington. Palin needs to explain that!

I feel like I am watching Legally Blonde without Reese Witherspoon. If she were considered an outsider I do not think she would have made it this fa.

Andrew, Mccain wanted Lieberman as his running mate but he followed his party's thoughts and pick Palin. I know he wishes he had that morning after pill. (OOPS, HE VOTED AGAINST THAT TOO.) ANY WHO, GET OVER IT, SHE DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH COMMAND FOR THE ISSUES.

Nice format. The discussion is moving along better than in the presidental debate. Gay marriage–is Palin caving on this issue? Will the far right forgive her?

Central war on terror is in Iraq??? Come on Palin. Get real.
And will Obama see Iranian leaders without preconditions? Well, Obama really answered that question in the last debate. How long will Palin ride that hobby horse?

I cannot believe she pronounces nuclear "nucular" as did Reagan – and it's more unreal that their handlers do not TELL them how to pronounce the word and how ignorant their pronunciation makes them look.

I love how the GOP has stolen the Obama theme of 'Change'. There is no change with a GOP run federal government.

McCain will not be a change.. He can not even relate to people who do not make six figures. His policies are and would be implemented just like George Bush. He would truly be a McBush.

Attacking Biden as being an insider is, once again, the pot calling the kettle black. She is the vice presidential nominee on a Washington insider's ticket!
