  13. Hey McCain- Thanks but no thanks

    Troopergate goes on
What you'll be reading about next weekend:
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) โ€” An investigator hired by Alaskan lawmakers to probe abuse-of-power allegations against Gov. Sarah Palin was free to finish his work by a deadline set for a week from Friday after a state judge dismissed a lawsuit seeking to block the probe.

The investigation is looking into whether Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, and others pressured Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan to fire a state trooper who was involved in a contentious divorce from Palin's sister, and then fired Monegan when he wouldn't dismiss the trooper. Palin says Monegan was ousted over budget disagreements.

    Economist,

If only everyone had the sense to look back in the past and see the truth that you speak. I am sick of everyone blamming EVERYTHING on Bush. Come on....Clinton had a lot to do with this just as he did with letting Osama run rampid for eight years while he was 'distracted' office.

Democrats are the ones responsible for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. ... Open your eyes democrats!!!

Funny how when the Katrina victims needed money they just d*cked around. When the banks need money though, they can get it to them in an instant.

People don't matter, business does. It won't matter who is in the white house.

    Biden was great tonight.

I hope the voting public really take a look at McCains health care plan. For those who are unemployed and who are uninsured his plan for $5000 tax credit is a drop in the bucket when it comes to paying for insurance. Palin's comment about people living within their means was something that made me angry. Yes, of course we all need to live within our means and yes there are some who have over extended themselves. But the majority of the population are just trying to pay for the basic needs of the family...like fuel bills, food, health insurance, taxes, etc... Palin is not only a Bush clone, she's a Cheney clone as well. She wants the VP to have more power!

This bailout bothers me very much. I would like to see in writing exactly what it entails. If it's true that a 170 billion of this money is headed for Red China then I am against it totally. This is something only a person like OBAMA could dream up. BUSH we all know is a MORON. But I had hopes that someday somehow we could have another statesman take control. THATS WHY I'LL VOTE JOHN McCAIN/PALIN

AND THE GREED GOES ON AND ON AND ON!!
The people's voices against this bailout were totally ignored and how unfair, that Congress has "shoved this down our throats"!
Bush – you can't get out of office soon enough for me!!

This is BS. We have to bail out Wall St. before the crisis hits the communities?? Is he serious?? Its been hitting the communities since the unemployment rate skyrocketed!! I understand completely that something has to be done in order to restore order in the financial sector, but how about throwing in another 100 billion for the people who made bad decisions by buying a home they couldn't afford?? Two wrongs don't make it right but only one of those wrongs is being helped in this situation and its BS. Democracy is dead in this country. Bush is no better than Chavez or Castro.
