Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/04/art.bopt1004.gi.jpg caption="In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign."]

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

I heard Obama was also recently seen dancing in a glade with the devil under the light of the full moon. Geez, where do these people (Palin / McCain) get their view of reality from?

Someone should hit her for her obsessive connection with a make believe spirit and her hatred for human freedom. This is odd she would do such a thing. Then again, it just hit me, I'm not sure she knows what a terrorist is, she certaintly can name Osama Bin Laden. Very interesting comments to say the least.

Sad excuse for Republican candidates! Do they think that we are stupid enough to believe their lies! Palin and McCain make me sick! I am a registered REPUBLICAn and I am ashamed of what our party has become over the last 8 years!

This is a disgusting distortion, an unforgivable slur. But maybe it's exactly the sort of hockey-mom Palin has always claimed to be: petty, short-sighted, and bigoted.

Dear, dear, Sarah, you're second grade brain will never learn. Once again you parrot what the campaign advisors tell you to. The McCain campaign is seeing its own demise and are just choosing to make their fall from grace even faster. What Sarah has failed to learn is that she is being used by the Republicants. But second grade brains such as hers usually can't figure that out until it's too late.
The 60's were a tumultuous time in this country's history. Mr. Ayers has paid his debt to society. He and Sen. Obama met when they worked together for a charitable organization, The Woods Fund, an anti-poverty, philanthropic organization.
Once again, the right chooses to find only the bad in people, rather than the good. Not very Christian of you Sarah, now is it?

It's time to kick the Republicans out of office across the board.

Again we see the McCain/Palin camp focusing on something other than the challenges facing the country and what they would do about them. And why would she be so concerned about Ayers since his alleged acts occurred when she was in the second grade?

I think it's funny that the Obama campaign sites this as "tearing down" someone while they had instructions on their website to go and protest Palin's visit to Dallas on Friday. Will America wake up in time to stop the socialist revolution here?

This woman and her co- conspirator are at it again. Talk about "slim" This just goes to show you how desperate they are. Her confidence after the debate is making her make statements that are not true, even when the press disputes them, they just keep the BS up. I guess that Republicans do when they know their days are numbered. I sure wouldn't want to be her when they loose, she has to go back to Alaska, knowing that the people know what kind of a person she is!!!!!!!!!!

The attacks are welcome because they will show how low McShame campaign will go. Supporters of Pale-in will believe anything and will not be deterred. Republicans this time around are more condescending than ever, and it's great to see their true colors

    Great Reply!

Sen Obama has strongly condemned the despicable acts Ayers committed 40 years ago, when Obama was eight. What’s clear is that John McCain and Sarah Palin would rather spend their time tearing down Barack Obama.

Honestly, there's not much to say. If the GOP has to resort to lies at this poibt in the campaign, if America is dumb enough to fall for it, shame on us.

I expect Rev Wright will be re-energized as well.

Would it also be fair to bring up McCain's infidelity /Keaton 5 and Palin's corruption of power?
