Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/04/art.bopt1004.gi.jpg caption="In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign."]

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

My husband just read me the statement that Gov. Palin said about Senator Obama. I'm not a political person but that statement was nasty. If you want the American people to vote for you, STOP the BAD MOUTHING. If you can't stop the politics of hatred and division, you are obviously a disgrace to the American principals you pretend to represent.

Palin is a moron who needs to shut her mouth. Life was so much better when she was hiding from the press. People like this don't need to be seeking an office in the White House. I am so fed up with the Republicans using fear to get votes! Grow up!!!

This from a woman who said "keep up the good work" in a speech to a separatist party in Alaska, that her husband was long a part of, a party that hates America.

It is a shame that a woman as stupid as Palin can lower herself even lower my making false accusations. We should remind her that she abused her power in Alaska to revenge her sister. The only reason she is a governor is simply because of her pretty face but there is no brain behind her. As a Democrat and a proud American, I am insulted by her lack of knowledge of some of the most basic issues affecting this Country and the World. I am sure that right now the rest of the World is laughing at America for even considering her as a Vice President. We already have a moron in the White House; I don't think we need a second one.

Does it surprise me that Sarah would stoop to this low since she isn't able to convince Americans she is the best. She is nothing but a sarcastic woman unfit to be vice president . Sarah stoops to low tactics just read up on her fiasco in Alaska in regards to her ex brother in law. She is a very dangerous vivcois woman and should no way hold a office of vice president/president.

Keep talkin' & winkin' Sarah. The more you open your mouth, the more you hurt the senile old man. What a moron. BTW, this "main street" hockey mom makes over a mill a year. Funny, we don't sit around the table at my house & fret over how to spend our millions. Dear Sarah, you DO NOT represent Main Street America.

99, as i call Palin, the lookalike of the actrice who played the helping hand of secret agent Maxwell Smart in the sixties American tv serie Get Smart is on the loose. We'll see how long she'll get the chance to play dumbo, saying a lot of nonsense

I'm not surprised with anything that comes out of her mouth anymore...it would actually be hysterical if I knew the rest of the nation had a grip on how off base this woman is.

I'm baffled by anyone who sees this palin person as a good VP choice....she's brain dead, doesn't have one thought of her own, and at the end of the debate the other night, I thought she was going to beat her poor baby to death, watching the way she was wrapping him on the back in a manic fashion, showing some serious signs of psychological instability.

I just hope Barack keeps it positive and his campaign doesn't take the juvenile bait from those two weirdos.

I like the TV ads he's showing in the Northeast. I've actually learned a few things about him. With the McSame ads, I only learned he's a very bitter, desperate and angry old man. It's actually kind of sad to see.

What do you expect from the original "thank you, but no thank you, I'm just a hockey mom " Palin. She has no idea what the issues are, she is just John McCain's attack dog.

More garbage from McCain & Palin... I read the article this morning, before Palin commented on it. Apparently, this is the beginning of the GOP ticket's new, desperate, "gloves-off" offensive. If people continue to read with more proficiency than Gov. Palin, this will be seen as a continuation of the previous strategy that she and Sen. McCain have been employing: Lying.

This is a low to me, just another example of Republicans sinking to extremes in signs of their desperation to rid the stink of a horrid economical situation. Working with a man that once had ties to an organization like that does not mean that he agrees with the program nor does it mean that they were friends. Republicans have sunk to new lows and come election day, the people will prove they no longer want to hear the derogatory campaigns but rather one on the issues.

Definition of unpatriotic and anti-American- trying to smear your opponent when you're not doing well in the polls. Swiftboating is the slimiest tactic there is–and please remember who keeps doing it. How about focusing on the issues? Is that too American for ya? (wink wink) 😉

Everyone who has half a brain already know that this kind of nasty tactic of McCain-Palin is a FALSEHOOD and has been debunked many times. But I guess if one has an evil heart, if one is unqualified to be VP and president, and whose campaign is in the toilet; then I guess it's the only thing one can try to dig up.

The Obama Campaign staff already are aware that the only thing they have left is to attack Barack with everything negative they can throw at him (they are getting desperate) Its time to go after the witch of Alaska. Maybe people need to be reminded that we saw the video of her and the laying of hands by some extremist preacher . From what I have heard her husband is an atheist. and the preacher was responsible for some poor woman who was run out of town for causing car accidents. If that's not a tragedy I don't know what is. Remind the american people that the only thing that McCain and Palin have to offer are sick, twisted, negative statements becasue they have nothing to offer the american people. You have already survived the Clinton kitchen sink being thrown at you you will survive this as long as you fight back. They have already drand blood Barack, go after her. Forget respect.

Why is CNN so afraid to post a comment from a military wife who is a Republican supporting a Democrat.

It is this kind of behavior and nonsense from the McCain camp that has made me loose all trust in my party.

Republicans–the party that believes in that life is sacred until he or she is born and then they don't care one once about the circumstances the child's born into, the educations system the child is stuck with, and whether or not the child was born with health care issues his or her parents can't afford.

So much for the party of values. Sarah's outright lie about "pals" with terrorist is disgusting. Maybe she needs to get "prayed over" again by the witch hunter.

She doesn't even know what achilles heel is. At least, that is what it seemed because she ignored the question in the debate completely. How could she say anything credible?

And Palin is a former/shadow member of the Alaskan Independence Party – a seditionist group that wants Alaska to become it's own country.

Palin has actively participated in events with this group, as oppose to Obama who was a young child when Bill Ayers was part of the Weathermen. Or, lets talk about John McCain and the Keating 5... another case of active participation... hypocrites.
