Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/04/art.bopt1004.gi.jpg caption="In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign."]

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

Palin should not forget that after McCain decided to remain a POW, he started making propaganda for the North Viets., at least according to his book, where he bragged about it! That is a lot different than knowing a weeatherman!

Once again, the right wing nut cases are loose in the land. I am suprised that palin could string that many words together at the same time. Everyone needs to vote and put theses people where they belong – out of service. McSame can retire and Palin can shoot some wolves and drink beer with Joe six-pack – what a joke these people are......

Finally we know why McCain picked Palin- to broadcast lies and smears even McCain could not stomach We knew their desperate and losing campaign would result to Swift-boat like tactics near the end of the campaign. Palin is a low IQ moron who has not risen above the level of a high school cheerleader for McCain, who is definitely showing signs of Alzheimer's disease in his speeches. What a duo! Thankfully we will never hear from them or think of them again in a month, other to remember this ridiculous and pitiful duo with a few guffaws in years to come .By the way, did you know John McCain fraternized with the enemy, the North Vietnamese, during the Vietnam war (for 5 years) ? He even spewed propaganda against the United States!! He's a hero? Read it in his book.

So, Palin doesn't know what magazines and newspapers she reads, but she knows enough to attempt to malign Obama's character. Why won't she talk about Troopergate and her own despicable actions while governing Alaska? Why won't she and talk about McCain's involvement in the Keating Five? Apparently, she is not only ignorant about the the duties of the VP as laid out in the Constitution, but she is also ignorant about the law. The charges were DROPPED Sarah!

McCain/Palin have nothing, so they play the "terror" card? Oh, give me a break.

Those two need to not only lose the presidential election, but end their political careers as well. No integrity or values whatsoever.

Ayres, Wright, and many others ARE important because they represent what Obama is today. Obama think "white" people eat more food the the poor in another country....not any other race but "rich white people". He said it and nobvody else makes up these words.

Obama is from the "victim" crowd and is out to bl;ame the rich, the whites, and anybody that gets in his way to power!

He was a lawyer for ACORN which commits voters fraud ewhile getting public grants (tax money). He taught how to register voters which has cause fraud cases in seven state AND ID theft. Is this who we want to run our country? Who is this man? My God, if anyone even mentions or questions his background, they are shameless and offensive......

He is a fraud with no experience or honest background....

    That's my opinion.

    Panic attack children!
Search and destroy ... Nice, when so called Christians start this sort of thing! and encourage it. Do we start checking out everyone's past friends or acquaintances and who fought whom in the sandbox? Do they really think people will vote for them when they resort to this type of behaviour? Not me for one.

    Palin, The Republican Pitbull

At this point, Palin does not surprise me anymore. From the day she was introduced she showed an innate talent for lying, denigrating, mocking and serving as just a distraction for the Republican Party. I doubt anyone will take her seriously after making such a horrible attack. If she was her own women she would refuse to make such unwarranted attacks. Obama was barely 8 years old at the time of the Weatherman events and her attacking him on this is hitting rock bottom. It is unfortuante that the Republican Party continues to use Roveian tactics of out and out lying, disparaging the opposition and misrepresenting the facts. I must say McCain and Palin are very good at using Rove dirty tactics. The good thing, voters don't believe them anymore and probably don't listen-I know I don't

MCCain/Pain I don't believe how low you are trying to go. I just know for sure now, you are just like George W Bush in your misconception of the facts. And spreading the dirt! Don't you remember what he did to you? Was that the truth?
I have been around long enough to remember the Keating 5. Now that is true. It put the taxpayers in another bailout to help the Savings and Loans and the rich. Now there was someone who was in with the bad guy!

The McCain/Palin ticket is starting to reek of desperation and flop sweat as they turn to swift-boat tactics to derail the momentum of Obama/Biden. Is this what they call straight talk to the American people? If so, then they are sadly out of touch with our need for strong, measured leadership, and well thought through solutions to the crisis at hand. Citizens of America, I know we are better than attacks and slander. Rise above the maelstorm.

This is as a result of Palin getting stupider every day.

This is similar to the statements that George Bush and Osama Bin Laden are Pals because of their businesses.

    Good start, Sarah!
    Keep up the good work!
    Hit him where it hurts.
Next chance, slam the empty suit for his racist views.
That should wake up the white people of this country to vote against this hack.
    Enough already.
    Drop the gloves!

Sarah Palin is a joke. She won't make herself available to the press, holds no position she hasn't been briefed on by McCain handlers, has no experience on the national stage – calls herself a Christian – yet has no shame about lying through her teeth in a feeble attempt to feed her own ambitions.

With his choice of running mate, McCain has revealed his poor judgment and his cynical attitude toward the American people. His campaign is now careening into the gutter with shoddy and false personal attacks because the polls show Obama widening his lead.

The American people have had enough of these negative, shameful Carl Rove tactics. This time, the good guys will win.

This just let's me know that the McCain campaign is 'running scared' when they feel they have to dig up OLD and FACT CHECK news - that has been dispelled!!! They were just shouting victory only a few days ago after the VP Debate - what happened? Mr. McCain-Ms. Palin - our country is in peril, our economy is bankrupt - focus on these things and not on mess!!!
