Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/04/art.bopt1004.gi.jpg caption="In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign."]

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

Of course... If the republicans can't win on the issues, they resort to mudslinging and lies... This disgusts me!

    Pathetic, and desperate

All Obama has to do is keep sticking to the issues.

Hmm, more scare tactics and lies to convince the American people to vote the Republican nominee President. McCain and Palin = Mavericks? Nope. Just more of the same.

How dare they think that we are really going to just "forget" about the economy right now? I'm so annoyed with their campaign and just wish they would put half as much effort and creativity into coming up with the solutions to Americas problems as they do about making false claims and lies about Obama.

I can now say with complete confidence:
    Obama/Biden '08

How can someone who is being investigated for the "Troopergate" situation, running with one of the Keating Five members attack anyones character?

This woman and her running mate are so negative. Where is their plan for America? I for one will be glad when this nonsense is over.

Sounds like Sarah Palin got some quick learning about
    " swiftboating".
As a " Joe Six Pack" I want my president and vice president
to sound sophisticated and to be smarter and more experienced
    than me.
I don't want a vice president who doesn't respect me and thinks
I want her to pretend to "folksy" so I can relate to her.

Just like McCain, Sarah Palin should know that what goes around, comes around. Your decision to go on with negative statements about Obama will only make voters support Obama. See what happened when when Hilary Clinton went negative during the Democratic campaign? You will both loose November 4th

Bimbo speaks unprepared again. What is radical is her refusal to cooperate in the Troopergate case. Bimbo screems" Catch the thief" while she's being under a criminal investigation. Maybe is time for Bimbo to hit the road back to Alaska (and perhaps learn how to pronounce NUCLEAR?)

I can see the right wing swift boats on the horizon now. I hope Obama counters with a slew of ads about McCains love of casino gambling and his ties to the gambling industry. It wouldn't to remind a few people how McCain's top aid was getting $15,000 a month from Fannie or Freddie for doing nothing right up until its collapse. I gonna go donate $25 to Obama every time I see a McCain Swift Boat style ad.

It's sad to see what McCain has sunk to–he used to actually BE a 'maverick'. I guess, too, she's not referrining to the Alaska Secessionist Party, which her husband bbelonged to for many years, whose credo states that they don't care what happens to the USA, as they want to seceede from it? Look it up.

mccain doesn't have anything to offer. i am not surprise at their new level of attacks. they have forgotten what happened during the democratic primaries. they have started to walk in that path. so, what happened to the other democrat candidate will surely happen to them too.

Republicans have started a immoral war, that has killed 100,000 innocent civilians, killed 4000 Amreicans and wounded another 30,000. There are over 1 million refugees from Iraq. And they are worried about someone Barrack barely knows?? Have you heard the term wolves in sheep's clothing?

Sarah Palin is a Dumb sack of garbage

John McCain and Palin are thieves and lack morals. They are willing to stoop down to any level to win this election.

Its so pathetic to watch a 70 year old man groveling so much like this.

Sarah Palin, is good enough to be a bar dancer..not a vice president.

Let America judge both candidates on policy...
but thats never gonna happen is it...

If McCain wins this ...it is a disgrace for america

Shameless and appaling from the pitiful excuse for a candidate that McCain chose. Clearly his judgement is completely gone since he chose her. She is truly dumber than a rock and she has no morals, no ethics, no valiues... her boytoy Todd is an example of her judgement and so are her children.

I hope Obama doesn't fall into this trap – stick to the economy and tell people that this type of swiftboating won't get them a job or help their economic situation.
