Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/04/art.bopt1004.gi.jpg caption="In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign."]

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

What about McCain's friendship with G.Gordon Liddy. Liddy is the man who broke into the Watergate hotel to plant wire taps to spy on the DNC. The guy who was convicted of conspiracy, burglary, wiretapping. And was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for crimes that subverted the US government and led to the impeachment of Nixon. Liddy has had fund raisers for McCain at his home. McCain has called Liddy "A dear old friend" and "Some one I admire greatly" McCain even said "G.Gordon Liddy personifies what makes America great" In 07 McCain went on Liddys talk radio show and had great praise for Liddy, a bonafied enemy of the state and government subversive. Liddy also has contributed over 5000 dollars to McCains campaigns including 1000 dollars for this years election. Liddy is also a special to Fox news. This seems to me to be a much more disturbing relationship than Obama raising money for poor people and schools while crossing paths with Ayers.

I am sick of hearing hearing about Barack Obama from Sarah Palin and John McCain. When would they talk about what would they do for an average american?

All they are doing is dividing the country by negative attacks. They should be engaged in civilized discussions on what is good for the country. It is said, "Liberals listen thinking they would learn something" and "Conservatives talk thinking they would win the argument".

THere is nothing to win when there is no civilized dialog. Dogs can bark all day, it would never bring food to the table.

Ok that just sealed the deal for me. I will NOT be voting for McCain/Pailin.

This type of fear campaigning is intolerable. It shows they are scared and desperate. If you really want to link someone to a terrorist, really the biggest terrorist of all is George Bush I think.

I was undecided but I think I will vote for Obama now.

The first thing I want to say is that debates are exciting, informative and intentionally so. In my view, Mrs. Palin uses debating in a way it ought not to be used. For example, she sounds more like a preacher with language (new energy, revelation, maverick, change is coming and a whole lot more). This is not how she should campaign. We are not electing a Pastor for Vice President to tell us about the apocalypse.

It didn't surprise me to learn that the Governor's background is from a new age Church in which she belongs. I don't think this will go over well with middle America.

    Hopefully, McCain,72, will retire now.

For a person who holds a degree in journalism and who cannot name even a magazine she reads and then later on blame the journalist who did the interview one can imagine how much of truth is there to what she says. This isj ust a ploy to shift atttention from matters that matter to ordinary Americans.

Disgusting how the McCain campaign is being run. For me this barrage of negative comments only supports the view that McCain is an angry, irrational, erratic candidate, or as he likes to descriibe it "Maverick." Hog wash! McCain/Palin, it's a slippery slope you're on, stop pissing in the wind an making it this way.

Since Obama rising in the polls, here's goes Mccain camp getting real negitive in last 30 days of this presidential race. Hillary warned of this tatic. I would advise the Obama fight fire with fire. Obama should attack Palin on troppergate and Mccain on Keating 5. It's great to be above it to that kind type of tactics, but now it's for Obama to attack back and put the Mccain camp on defense in regards to troopergate and Keating 5. I know this is not Obama style, but for the of sake of America he has to do this. There's lot ignorant and not informed people in American that belive in these sleazy false statements Mccain/Palin has nothing to offer American people and the polls are showing it, thats why they are resorting to these sleazy tatics. Obama slam these clowns to ground and so won't hear from them again!!

Shame on Sarah Palin she is practicing bad politics because they
are losing their campaign fight. They are so very desperate to win
that they will say just about anything. This is nothing but complete
nonsense and the American people are not that dumb! To believe
    garbage like that.

I guess it proves McCain will do anything to get elected, including selecting someone who has no business being a VP candidate.

I am sooo tired of these negative attacks by the McCain campaign. They spoon-feed Palin these ridiculous accusations to make because there is NO WAY she would come up with them on her own!!! She is like the Republican parrot, saying whatever they please. It is only a month left in this election, can both sides stick to the facts and explain what they would do in office.

Palin has some nerve trying to attack the character of Obama, when she and her family refuse to cooperate with officials for the Troopergate!
