Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/04/art.bopt1004.gi.jpg caption="In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign."]

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

Arghh, really having trouble getting stuff posted.

Once again, we see sleaze and misrepresentation coming from McCain and Palin. See the NYT debunking of this relationship. I guess the GOP is trying the old tactic of trying to throw as much mud as possible at their opponent in the hopes that something will stick.

    And one more thing,
McCain was accused of taking bribes in the Keating 5 case, but charges were dropped.

Ayers was accused of the bombings but charges were dropped. Yet the McCain/Palin campaign act as though he was proven guilty.

So by their logic, either both McCain and Ayers are guilty, or neither are.

Do they really want to go there?

The McCain camp slinging hateful fear-mongering lies because they have nothing left to stand on??... Yawn.
Johnny is quite the paradox; both erratic and completely predictable.

Wow...These guys are getting desparate. Being that she can't talk intelligently about the issues, doesn't really know McCain enough to talk about his record, and is only an expert at moose hunting, she really doesn't have much else to say. Not to mention anybody who would waste their morning going out to hear her talk is as big a moron as she is. So they wouldn't understand an intelligent speech anyway.

The biggest terrorist organization is the Rupublican Party Period. They've successfully tore this country into two. The Bush Doctrine is at work right now in the U.S. - You're either with us or against us. They've played on fear for much too long. I'm sick and tired of republican terrorists misguiding, making up lies and excuses to get what they want.

Bill, you're a republican bigot of extreme proportions. Who cares what his name is. Emphazing his middle name, one he didn't choose promotes your parties politics of fear. You and people like you are the worst in america.

  8. Obama posters are very offensive

Obama backers on this ticker and elsewhere have made it clear that they do not like women or senior citizens. Calling Sarah a pig and John a senile old man who should change his diapers. This talk alienates and offends a HUGE number of voters. Remember, the older a citizen is the more likely they are to vote.

On Nov. 4th by the time the Obama backers get up out of bed and smoke their first joint the polling places will already be closed.

What is Sarah LIPSTICK- Six pack trying to say? She better pay attention to her family problems, they are about to overwhelm her. Racism, injustice, and much is a form of terrorism, her underworld cult is an extremeist organisation that has the tendency to be a terrorist organisation. Thats how it starts. Sarah is an EXTREMIST. Real empty bucket. Somebody tell this moose eating, wolf killing, REDNECK to go back to her VILLAGE, and focus on her children. There one guilty of fonication, and one who may not come back from war, he is not better than other brothers and sisters who lost their lives in defence of AMERICA, He stands a strong chance of not coming back. I challenge Sarah Palin, if she is a true christian, let her pray to derail this prediction. SHE HAS MATTERS OF THE HEART. REDNECK IN LIPSTICK. GOTCHA!!!!!!!!!!

Mrs. Palin, your husband is a former member of the radical group Alaska Independence Party which advocates secession of Alaska from US. If you want to point fingers of Obama's obviously professional affiliations, if any, you are married to a man that doesn't want to be an American, but Alaskan. McCain was wrong once more and realizing picking you was selfish political stunt gone bad.

Mrs. Palin, if you truly love the US as you claim you do, drop out of the race. Don't do this to us. But you won't, you are not that patriotic. Surrendering because one realizes the mistake is not only patriotic but admirable. Obama is trying to do that for us in Iraq.

Obama/Oprah is NOT the people you want in the white house. I dont know what more to say to convince the American people that, you are staring down at the collapse of the Inited States of America as we know it, and i strongly suggest you be vigilate of the media. The Media wants into the white house to get thier news. McCain will not allow that... he'll show you the left and then give you a right hook straight to the jaw... the media doesnt like that, it makes them look bad, thats why as a Canadian, im very concerned who gets the white house. If the media wants a good story... investigate this one... 'Why are so many Wealthy Americans moving to Canada, peticulary the west?

What next? This is getting ridiculous. This election is supposed to be about issues...not rablle-rousing. We are in such a sad state that this is what the political process has come to. And I dare ask what does Mrs. Palin mean when she says Obama does not hink like "you and I?" I am an independent voter and was possibly leaning toward McCain until he selected that woman from Alaska. I am also neither a big fan of Obama. I may as well do a write in vote on November 4th...I wish we could elect Hillary Clinton!!

Just another example of Sarah Palin saluting and being the attack dog. The same type of fear tactics used by the Bush administration. Given the poll results for McCain, you can count on his campaign and his party to become even more negative. Just sound bites and no plans. So much for the straight talk express.
