Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/04/art.bopt1004.gi.jpg caption="In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign."]

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

Seriously, can we focus on the real issues Gov. Palin? With a month to go before one of the most important elections in U.S. history, you would think the VP candidate would be talking about issues like the economy.

Give her the script from the debate back so she can sound somewhat intelligent.

This woman is complete trash! Anyone with an IQ greater than room temperature should be able to see through McCain-Palin garbage. What about Palin’s husband who is a member of Alaskan Independence Party. Also, Obama was 8 years at the time.

What a joke. This is what they have resorted to because they have an idiot for VP in Palin. This shows the real McCain, grappling anything possible.

same ole Mcshame policy of lying, distorting the truth ans scaring people for votes. I knoe that American's are smarter than that, and will not fall to this highly un ethical behavior by Sarah the Hypocrite.

Palin said: “This is not a man who sees America as you and I do – as the greatest force for good in the world,”

There's something very Bushesque about this statement.

The McPalin's are getting desperate and grasping at straws

If the same standard is applied to Ms. Palin, she is hanging around with an admitted addict and criminal. That would be Cindy McCain.

Only someone without scruples or integrity would make these sorts of comments. Ms. Palin is remarkable in her blind ambition and willingness to do or say anything to advance herself.

The GOP starting this nonsense again. Only narrow minded people will fall for this tactic. McCain/Palin ticket have done nothing but show America that they are bullies, and are of a selfish agenda. If they cared about America half as mush as they've said they do, they would essentially focus their energy on how to fix the economy. It's really starting to get on my nerves.

This kind of garbage will backfire on Sen. McSame and Gov. Pain. I hope they keep it up so everyone can see their real character.

It is ashame the only thing Palin can do is give low blows and cut downs to mislead the public. Does she really think America wants another administration that sees no problem with twisting the truth when they want to sale something to the public.
If she doesn't become Vice President, maybe she can help the National Enquirer sale some magizines.

  12. too young 2 vote for obama

I cannot believe that as we are faced with an economic crisis, John McCain continues to attack Obama over character as if Americans do not worry about the issues that are greatly affecting their lives.

John McCain is out of touch, whereas Senator Obama actually understands what an average American goes through day in and day out.

Governor Palin needs to learn – listen and learn. She is so very dangerous. I was sitting on the fence earlier in August but as soon as they "introduced" VP Candidate – I shutter to think that she would or could or may in the future represent our country. This woman is dangerous.

Troopergate-probe report out next week. Palin's real abuse of power and illegal activities will be revealed.

Keating Five-might be time for the American public to be reminded of old man McCain's corrupt past as a U.S. Senator.

I buy it.. I can seen Barrack Hussein Obama being friends with Ayers and trying deperately to cover it up seeing as these speculations have already been out before.

Perhaps if Sarah would actually learn to read a newspaper she would discover that she's again spewing lies. Of course, given that McCain and his campaign have given up any pretense of having honor and morals, or even caring about this country as much as their own egos, she probably wouldn't have spoken the truth anyway.

Sara Palin annoys me. Before commenting on something that she has no clue on, she needs to get educated on issues that matter to the American People. The article that she is referring to is clear and simple so simple that maybe a "second grade" student might be able to make sense of it.
I wish her luck, I wonder what will happen to her after November 4th for clearly her shameless attacks won't win her this election. She needs to go back to Alaska and monitor the Alaska/Russia border or even take a trip to Diomede Alaska where so many don't even know about her existence. That's sad for a governor (I'll betcha a community organizer wouldn't have made that mistake).
    So long SP!

I fail to understand why some people continue to support the McCain / Palin ticket. We are not talking about "media hype". We are talking about words coming directly from the mouths of McCain and Palin. Please think before you vote and please don't vote a ticket based on just one issue.
