Obama campaign rejects Palin 'terrorist' gibe

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/05/art.boflag1005.ap.jpg caption="Gov. Palin said Saturday that Sen. Obama sees America as 'imperfect.'"]
(CNN) - Barack Obama's campaign has quickly rejected Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's claim that he associated "with terrorists who targeted our own country."

Palin attacked Sen. Obama on Saturday for his brief political relationship with Bill Ayers, a founding member of the radical Weather Underground, which was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including attacks on the Pentagon and the Capitol. Obama was a child at the time of the bombings.

Obama and Ayers, now a university professor, have met several times since 1995, when both orked with a non-profit group trying to raise funds for a school improvement project and a haritable foundation. CNN's review of project records found nothing to suggest anything nappropriate in the volunteer projects in which the two men were involved.

A CNN Fact Check found Palin's charge to be false.

Tell the truth to people CNN.....Obama is friends with Ayers.Proven to be the truth...what is wrong with telling the truth? As on CNN many lies have been told for CNN's "truth".....to try to turn the USA against Sarah Palin....Why can't everyone just tell the truth anymore....just plain truth....what are you all afraid of at CNN that Obama won't be elected......????

Gov. Palin is the one who makes inappropriate decisions... she fired the head of the police in Alaska because he wouldn't submit to her political pressure of doing the wrong thing.

How dangerous is that for Alaska residents if cops can't use their own judgment to protect the people and are instead worrying about doing the political thing to protect their own jobs???

Gov. Palin has put her own people at risk! That's dangerous....

Off course not, we all know by now that you want Obama to win, so you are going to defend him until Nov. 4th.

Where there's SMOKE there's FIRE ! Obama has leanings toward his "friends" He lives in the neighborhood. He doesn't have the same growing up VALUES that most proud Americans have. The same grounding principals. Those are FACTS that CANNOT be disputed, no matter what he says. Talk is cheap and he will TALK you to death. Lets NOT put ourselves in the position where we will have to defend our NATION because of his "leanings."

The Democrats has to talk that McCain and Palin are fake. He walked out with a rich woman on his disabled wife and children with blonde rich younger girl and Palin had sex before marriage. She had her first child eight months after her wedding. These are some of the fake moral values they preach but they do not practice it. They have to put these fake where they belong with the list of their dirty laundry.

Palin is a Stepford candidate and only speaking what the GOP or McCain's campaign tell her to say.

She is a bimbo and she can call herself a pitbull but I find that insulting to the breed.

Palin is preaching fire and brimstone saying that 'if women don't support other women, they are going to hell'. That was a quote by Madelaine Albright whom I hope responds to this airhead.

The McCain camp is desperate and it's showing. I hope the Obama camp brings up the Keating 5 thing and slams McCain right in the face with the economy with his tax breaks for the wealthy and NOTHING FOR MIDDLE AMERICA. Just threats and lies. Not very smart but good for Democrats.

Seriously, how old was Obama when Weather Underground was around? Clearly Ayers has made amends if he is a college professor and working in the community alongside Obama.

Wait – I forgot! Community activists are terrorists in the Republicans' eyes.

Palin and McCain are coming across as jilted ex-lovers who are trying to get the last word.

    Fire McCain! Fire McCain!

What about the Palin connection to the Alaska Independence Party. Is this not something for consideration?? Her husband is a member and she speaks to them this year. That is just as much or more of a connection as Obama having a neighbor who is a respected member of Chicago University now. And the AIP wants to sucede from the US. Is that not up for discussion??

Or McCain's connection to Keating??? Not from the 80's but still .. they are still connected, and with the mess our banking system is in now and the deregulation that is partially to blame you have to wonder how deeply he is involved in it with his buddy Phil Gramm. It sure has a lot of similarities with the S&L bailout.

  15. McGimmick's gimmick FAILED!

McCain and his camp can throw out racist attacks with comments like 'imperfect' or 'radical' but the one thing Independents do NOT want to see is any Presidential Candidate dividing our great country and setting us back 100 years through racist comments.

We will not stand for it and will quickly challenge McCain and Palin to act as responsible adults.

Let the fear mongering begin. They think you are as stupid as ever and the gutter politics are going to work. Is this all they have? They are doing nothing but rehash the same things that Hillary tried with her kitchen sink strategy and that blew up on her. Do they think that anyone who pays attention doesn't already know about this stuff and how it is a joke. Well, i am sure it is all new to Palin because she certainly has not stayed informed on anything else and from her debate it is clear she has no clue when she is being told to say blatant lies. She kind of reminds me of every press secretary under the Bush Administration who just walked up and said what they were told because they thought it was true. Of course we know how they feel after they get out and see something other than Fox News. Someday Sarah you will look back and see how you have made the mistake of not being objective about your own abilities and not being inquisitive about the motives of others (Bush) and realize that you have set back the image of women in politics a good 40 years.

John McCain and Sarah Palain are the definition of hypocrites. Every chance they get they show just how dishonarable they are. John McCain said he would run an honorable campaign but has lied every chance he gets. Sarah Palain says that any questions about her or her family is sexist yet turns around and attacks Obama. Are those attacks then racist? We have now heard that McPalain is going to fall back on the personal attacks to try and lie their way into the White House. But I have news for them: Americans are not stupid and they will not buy all your tricks and lies. Do us all a favor and suspend your campaign for good.

Now they don't have policies and issues to run on, therefore they are desperate to coming up issues that are wrong and irrelevant.
