Obama campaign rejects Palin 'terrorist' gibe

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/05/art.boflag1005.ap.jpg caption="Gov. Palin said Saturday that Sen. Obama sees America as 'imperfect.'"]
(CNN) - Barack Obama's campaign has quickly rejected Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's claim that he associated "with terrorists who targeted our own country."

Palin attacked Sen. Obama on Saturday for his brief political relationship with Bill Ayers, a founding member of the radical Weather Underground, which was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including attacks on the Pentagon and the Capitol. Obama was a child at the time of the bombings.

Obama and Ayers, now a university professor, have met several times since 1995, when both orked with a non-profit group trying to raise funds for a school improvement project and a haritable foundation. CNN's review of project records found nothing to suggest anything nappropriate in the volunteer projects in which the two men were involved.

A CNN Fact Check found Palin's charge to be false.

Yep another lie from the desperate GOP. That shows they have no ideas left but just negativity. Keep on tanking yourselves and you will guarantee Obama win the White House by the end of this week with the debate and Troopergate

It's about time somebody starts putting these two together. And that whacky radial Rev Wright who married Hussein Nobama and his unproud of America angry wife Michelle. And how about his ties with his Tony, 16 felony counts, buddy. Not to mention ACORN who are bussing Chicago people over to Ohio to vote early. Really sad.

Did anyone catch The Late Edition this morning? Leslie Sanchez, a Republican strategist, talking about the Obama campaign's response said about it "let's call a spade a spade". My impression was that this was a subtle racist comment directed at Senator Obama.

Palin's comments are unture and tailored for those who are receptive to hearing lies. The truth is that voters want to hear about McCain's vision for moving this country in a direction that brings about the change this nation needs. So far, McCain has shown nothing new . His campaign theatrics and the selection of Palin as a VP running mate are patheic.

In one breath they accuse the Obama campaign of "pointing fingers at the past" and in the next they remind us endlessly of McCain's "heroism" for being an incompetent pilot and accusing Obama of "palling around" with someone who was a radical 40 years ago. The hypocrisy is breathtaking!

The first thing I want to say is that debates are exciting, informative and intentionally so. In my view, Mrs. Palin uses debating in a way it ought not to be used. For example, she sounds more like a preacher with language (new energy, revelation, maverick, change is coming and a whole lot more). This is not how she should campaign. We are not electing a Pastor for Vice President to tell us about the apocalypse.

It didn't surprise me to learn that the Governor's background is from a new age Church in which she belongs. I don't think this will go over well with middle America.

    Hopefully, McCain,72, will retire now.

Its a stunning irony that the Republican ticket which claims to be the co-called mavericks level the charge that the other guy is radical. I mean, its the ultimate pot and kettle story.I dont quite know if the American people grasp this new level of politics that McCain endorses.

Palin's charge "false"? Are you kidding me. I guess he didn't launch his political career at the Ayers home & maybe he didn't know about Ayers being a terrorist. Yeah right! Obama has so many radical anti-American friends I wonder why he wants to run the country. One of his closest friends is an Israel- hating Muslim. Mr. Obama can tell all the lies he wants but the truth will prevail and he will be exposed for what he is. He and his camp and worshippers are the ONLY ones who talk about race all the time& quote, " If you don't vote for Obama you must be a racist" . He's half white. Maybe they all forgot that. I'm so sick of the McCain/Palin bashing while everyone cries foul when anything is said about the messiah Barry Obama. Sen. B. Obama is a very dangerous man! He should NEVER become President of the U.S. Wake up America! God bless Sarah Palin!

Gosh, she can finally name a paper she reads and that is all she can come up with. I really don't think the american people especially women will buy in to her cutsy -look-at -me-wink wink. She is after the White House and I don't mean as VP!!! What a mess THAT would be, Miss cutsy and her dood boy.

  24. Real Talk

The Obama campaign needs to get used to this and know that it will need to retaliate on a tcket that has so many negatives I don't know where to start. Palin is a joke thats under a Federal investigation as we speak, her husband believes Alaska should break away from the Lower 48 states. He must really love America???? By the way I can not believe I havn't heard anything about McCain and his Keating 5 Buddies. You can't always take the High Road Obama. Especially when the Double Talk Express is cruisin the in the gutter on cruise control.

Palin, though incompetent and mentally challenged, does share something with so many other high ranking Republicans. She is as dirty and manipulative as most of them. It's good though, the more she barks, the better the contrast. It is true that certain people like to digest and live Trash. What is also true, however, is that an increasing number of people in this country are sick and tired of being taken hostage by fear and deception.

Honestly, it seems to me the real "Terrorists" are low life people like Palin. People who use fear and deception to terrorize large sector of the society for their personal gain. Shame on you Sarah...How could you be a mother and be this way at the same time? You're selling your soul to the Devil for what? To be powerful? If that's the case, you have no clue what Power is...I feel sorry for you...
