Cindy McCain goes on the attack

(CNN) - Cindy McCain, wife of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, appears to have sharpened her attacks against Barack Obama on the campaign trail in the final stretch of the race for the White House.

One day after she told a Tennessee newspaper Obama is running the "dirtiest campaign in American history," Mrs. McCain criticized the Illinois senator for voting against a bill to fund troops in Iraq, a regular line of attack from her husband’s campaign.

“The day that Senator Obama cast a vote not to fund my son when he was serving sent a cold chill through my body, let me tell you,” she told a Pennsylvania crowd before introducing her husband and Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin.

“I would suggest Senator Obama change shoes with me for just one day. I suggest he take a day and go watch our men and women deploying," she also said, to boisterous cheers from the campaign.

The vote Mrs. McCain is referencing came in May of 2007, when Obama was one of 14 senators who voted against a war-spending plan that would have provided emergency funds for American troops overseas. He, like many Democrats, was pushing for an end to the war in Iraq, and the legislation included no provisions for that. Before that vote, Obama did support and vote for a funding proposal that included a timeline for withdrawal from Iraq - a troop funding bill McCain opposed.

A CNN fact check deemed the charge that Obama voted against troop funding "misleading."

  3. Desparate People

Does anyone remember how people couldn't stand the fact that when Bill was running for office everybody wanted Hillary to shut-up, why is ok for the wife of a Republican to get involved in a presidential campaign but not the wife of a Democrat. It is time for a change; McCain/Palin ticket is erradict and desparate; we don't need these people representing this country. Country First vote against McCain/Palin

OMG, spare me the grief! Probably not too tough to send a chill through THAT bag of bones. Stick to the medicated grins in the background, Cindy! Leave the parrot act to Puppet Palin. I can't wait to watch Larry King tonight and see the REAL future First Lady, Michele Obama, dealing with all of these topics with grace and dignity.
    OBAMA/BIDEN '08 & '12 YES WE CAN!

Cindy, I think you forget which campaign you are supporting. John McCain has been running the dirtiest campaign in history, NOT Barack. McCain uses false fear tactics against Obama instead of talking about the economy crisis. McCain's own crowds were chanting hateful remarks against Obama and he did nothing about it. Referring to Obama as "THAT ONE," is so condescending, refusing to look at him in the eye in the first debate is rude.
Stop the hypocritical complaints, you're not the victim, John McCain.
Your slogan says "Country First," but I guess that's right after "Me first." Right John?

Poor John McSame, now he has to hide between 2 "Barbie Doll / Stepford Wives" . This is what happens when you are LOOSING and you have NOTHING better to do or say to defend your cause. UNFORTUNATELY for the McSame's the American people do not care what they have to say. They apparently think by taking another page out of the GWB handbook and scaring the people we will jump ship and join them, but you know the old saying "Fool me once same on you, fool me twice shame on me" . You cannot fool the American people again with those tactics. Bye – Bye McSames and Sarah you on November 5th you will be home just in time to hunt for your Thanksgiving MOOSE.

The woman stoops to stealing other people's recipies - RECIPIES?!? - and publishes them as her own, REPEATEDLY! Why?? Was she trying to pretend she actually cooked?? Trivial? No - It speaks to a deep-seated and pervasive contempt for honesty and honor. The woman is not credible on ANY subject.
