Bush: U.S. government will work to resolve crisis

WASHINGTON (CNN) - President Bush said Friday that the U.S. government will continue to work to resolve the economic crisis, which he said is being made worse by anxiety and fear.

"Over the past few days, we have witnessed a startling drop in the stock market," he said in the Rose Garden. "Much of it is driven by uncertainty and fear."
He added, "We will continue to act and resolve this crisis."

For the last time, people need to stop putting all the blame on Bush and the Republicans. There is plenty of blame to go around from top to bottom – from Bush to the idiot people who bought houses they knew they couldn't afford. Both Dems and Reps have a fair share in this mess. And it's funny how not too many people were complaining about the economy a couple of years ago when the Dow was at an all time high and people were selling their homes for record prices.
Obama, McCain – it doesn't matter who gets elected. I don't think either one of them knows how to fix this mess. The economy will fix itself on its own, although it may take a while.
If he want to act to resolve the crises he and cheny need to leave office right now.
How did we ever elect him twice.

He'll watch anxiously as his cronies pump money into offshore accounts. The day he leaves the White House, he'll hop a plane to Dubai so we can't arrest him and live off his ill-gotten gains.

Good for Joe Biden. Its time someone took Sarah Palin to task. She is showing us the worst of what the political process has to offer–slander by innuendo, and worst yet, coming from someone so wet behind the ears and green with regard to real world issues that all she can do is throw mud. Let's hear what she has to say about the issues. In fact, let's hear what the Republicans have to say about the issues. Telling lies and spreading innuendos may be a traditional part of the political process, but it sure does not demonstrate patriotism or statesmanship.
Why don't you have Paulson ban SHORT SELLING until the market stabilizes? You banned it on financials until yesterday. There isn't an absolute need to allow short selling and you can always remove the ban in 6 -12 months when things are better.
BTW, thank you Bush for stating the obvious. Now please go back to your couch and watch your Nickelodeon.
