Palin on her political future: 'That's a good question'

SCRANTON, Pennsylvania (CNN) - Though her cell phone service repeatedly dropped during her call-in, Sarah Palin made her first appearance on the Rush Limbaugh show on Tuesday, just minutes before taking the stage at a rally in Scranton.

Watch: Palin calls in to Limbaugh's show

In an unusual moment, Limbaugh asked Palin if she had thought about her "political future beyond this campaign." The vice presidential nominee told the conservative talker and his millions of listeners: “That’s a good question.” But she then quickly re-assured the radio host that her focus was on winning the White House with John McCain on November 4.

“No, because I am thinking about November 4, and I am just so absolutely passionate about the job that we have in front of us from now to November 4,” she said.

For the first time, Palin directly addressed the controversy surrounding ACORN’s voter registration operation, and suggested that the media is trying to cover up the story, despite the fact that dozens of national news outlets are investigating the community organization and Obama’s ties to the group.

“Let’s talk quickly about ACORN and the unconscionable situation that we are facing right now with voter fraud, given the ties between Obama and ACORN and the money his campaign has sent them,” Palin told Limbaugh. “Obama has a responsibility to reign in ACORN and prove that he is willing to fight voter fraud. For shame if the mainstream media were to cover this one up.”

Making Bristol and Levi available in the national spotlight for a McCain photo op, bringing her daughter on the ice Saturday night as a shield, her total lack of empathy when Biden momentarily lost it during the vp debates, Troopergate, the half million dollar house, the hate rallies, AIP, and the continuous stream of lies. All this tells me who she is. She doesn't have what it takes to be my local trash collector, let alone our VP.

Obama sends Secret Service to the door of a female Marine in Texas who told an Obama caller should wouldn't vote for Obama. Google it.

So much for the 1st Amendment if Obama gets elected. Scary stuff folks, the tactics he uses to suppress speech by those opposed to him. Sounds a little like 20th century German history.

There is special place you-know-where for anyone who incites a crowd to make terrorist threats. McCain's judgment is definitely in question. McCain is not a racist, but she makes it look that way.

This woman has zero credibility. How dare she talk about Obama and Acorn without full knowledge of is involvement or lack of. I really like nerakami's message. Palin should apolotize to the voters of Alaska for abusing her powers and engaging in unethical behavior.

Sarah Palin – I also call on you to APOLOGIZE to the voters of Alaska. ADMIT your wrongdoing, that you abused your power and that you will try to do a better job in the future. HUMILITY Sarah Palin!

Interesting that CNN is running this Limbaugh item, and yet they seem to be burying their own investigative story about Palin's AIP connection. Story ran on TV, but zero mention on the Web site (that I can find).

We don't need acorn's help. Remember it is registration, note votes. Besides Palin needs to get honest. She is an expert at avoiding the truth. When she was asked about using her power for personal needs. She flat out ignored the verdict, saying she was glad she was vindicated. Hello! She was not! The verdict stated that she did abuse her power.

There is nobody that I am scared of as Sarah Palin! She scares me everytime she opens her mouth.
I think who ever advised McCain to pick her has duped him. If she is qualified enough to lead this nation, then I should submit my resume to become the head of NASA.

Palin is a disgrace to this nation. She is the most clueless person ever to run for office. Go back to Alaska and face your ethics violations.

  19. Go Sarah Go

Just Amazing.. 29 comments by 29 people who seem to fail to grasp the reality that Sarah emboldies the spirit and beliefs far more than the other side and I would dare to even the beliefs of those on this board. Sarah is opposed to abortion so she has the special needs child, Joe supports wealth redistribution so he gives 0.2% of his income (less than $5000 in a decade) to charity. John believes that we should all help our fellow man so he gives away hundreds of thousands a year. Obama believes every vote should count so he works with ACORN and challenges absentee ballots in Ohio.

Face it... what really makes you mad about Sarah is that you believe in all that she believes in! American is great, we should help our fellow man and we don't want the government to do too much.

Wow, her stupidity and ability to so easily tell lies is very scary. There is a reason she is only talking to people like Rush who would never challenge her distortion of the facts.

Everytime she talks I cringe that there are people just blindly believe her crap!

    Factcheck.org people...check it out.

Palin is no Christian according to the Christianity I was taught.

What a fruitcake. This woman couldn't lead me out of the grocery store, much less the country.

Dump her America, send her packing to ALLAAAAAAAAAAAAkA. Her voice gets on my nerves and so does her phony patriotism. This woman attended a convention for the AIP (Alaskan Independence Party) that wants to succeed from the United States. Explain that Miss Palin Patriot–NOT.

Anyone who supports Palin at this point, simply isn't interested in the facts. McCain has either lost control of his campaign, or his judgement was flawed from the very beginning in chosing her for a running mate. How pathetic.

  25. facts are facts

There are huge rallies going on in Alaska right now to have Palin either impeached or recalled. There are videos of this that I tried putting the link to them but CNN wouldn't post.

Come CNN get Lou Dobbs off the sensor's list and let some truth come out to the people.
