Schneider: Obama should avoid this
HEMPSTEAD, New York (CNN) - Obama is trying to rise above the squabbling. The moderator invited it in asking them to address the attacks, but Obama would be wise not to be baited.
By keeping his eye on the ball and addressing the economy he looks more presidential.
Obama's doing it just fine. Listing the facts calmly, with detail and facts. McCain is the one breathing heavily into the mic, practically chomping at the bit to defend Palin's disgraceful speech.
McCain won't let him avoid it... this is making me so angry. I used to respect McCain (I live in AZ), but the people here are RAVING MAD at what he's done to our state.
He's an old washed up politician now, no longer the Maverick he once was... and his running mate? No... she cannot be a heartbeat away from the presidency.
McCain's cackle and smirk is very IMMATURE and unpresidencial.
McCain has to hit hard. He has to hit Obama in the areas that hurt.
This is the guy who will lead this country!!! OMG!! Angry!!! Lost!!
McCain is a snide, seething, angry man. Why anybody would want him as their president is beyond me.
McCain's gone over the edge. Look at him sit and just grunt. Obama definitely is doing the "Rope A Dope" on him. Obama is prepared for McCain's smear.

I am so sick of this...what does McCain not understand about Obama's tax plan?? He must really be worried about his taxes going up. I must say I look forward to the break w/ my broke self!!

I was expecting to see a debate not the bickering I am seeing now. I am sure Mr Schiefer can moderate this much better.
