Palin ignores her own Pakistan remark while criticizing Obama

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/15/palin4.jpg caption="Gov. Palin criticized Obama's foreign policy Tuesday."]
RENO, Nevada (CNN) - Sarah Palin’s pointed criticism of Barack Obama’s foreign policy agenda Tuesday morning included a swipe at Obama’s stated commitment to strike at terrorists inside Pakistan’s borders if they are in the sights of the American military.

“Senator Obama has also advocated sending our U.S. military into Pakistan without the approval of the Pakistani government,” Palin said. “Invading the sovereign territory of a troubled partner in the war against terrorism.”

But Palin herself has advocated the same approach.

Palin told a voter at a retail stop in Philadelphia in September that the United States should “absolutely” cross the border into Pakistan to hunt terrorists, a statement that appeared to contradict John McCain's preference to negotiate with the Pakistani government first, or at the very least, to not publicly announce such a strategy.

At Tony Luke’s cheesesteaks in South Philadelphia, Temple University graduate student Michael Rovito asked the vice presidential candidate several questions about United States foreign policy towards Pakistan.

“So we do cross border, like from Afghanistan to Pakistan you think?” Rovito asked.

"If that’s what we have to do stop the terrorists from coming any further in, absolutely, we should," Palin responded, before moving on to greet other voters.

In an interview with CBS’s Katie Couric several days later, Palin re-iterated that “we will do what we have to do to secure the United States of America and her allies.”

When Couric asked John McCain, seated next to Palin in the interview, if that was “something you shouldn’t say out loud,” McCain said, “Of course not.”

Even though Palin was talking to a voter at a campaign stop organized by her campaign, both Palin and McCain dismissed the caught-on-camera exchange with Rovito as “gotcha journalism.”

OMG!! For heaven's sake, anyone who voted for Bush and plans to vote these two seals in and thinks the next 4 years is going to be different, is crazier than they are. We are in big trouble if McCain/Palin get in. McCain will be bad enough, but if something happens to him and Palin is president. The visuals are disastrous.

Why is she criticizing Obama about something she agrees with? What a dummy. Sometimes i wonder what planet Sarah Palin is from. She has no crediblity and nothing she says makes sense and she KNOWS IT...she just doesn't care. It's almost as if she is a robot programmed to just say dumb things...or the same thing over and over again no matter what the question is and no matter if it makes sense or not.

Pathetic Palin is dragging down the ticket nation-wide. McCain is being criticized by prominent Republicans for this ill-advised choice, a woman of limited background, intellect, and education. Beneath those seven or eight layers of make-up there is very little of substance.

Here in Nevada, Barack is up by nearly 5 points and growing. If Democrats can win here, in the intermountain frontier, they can win ANYWHERE.

Ah, pusillanimous Palin strikes with ignorance again. How can anyone be so stupid. I can no longer stand to watch her. Next time she is in a motorcade or entering a room: Turn Your Back On Her; She comes on TV; change channels; that act is recorded by the networks. All Better than boos.

She can't help it. That is what the teleprompter told her to say. You know, the teleprompter, or what she calls her "complete sentence maker".

Okay, Palin is inciting the rabid right to violence and can't even remember what she said a few weeks ago. And the republicans want to put her a heart beat away from having her finger on the button???

If McCain & Palin are elected, there will be nowhere safe on Planet Earth. And the scary part is she would look forward to pushing the button. After all, we are in the "End Times"

And she is "qualified"? REALLY? SERIOUSLY? Such arrogance should not be rewarded. The media should ride her into the sunset.

Joe Biden's wisdom again proves that Obama is not ready to lead. At a fundraiser event on Sunday he said that withing the first 6 months of Obama becoming POTUS, a big IF, the world will bestow a major crisis upon Obama to "test" him, "and he will need help", Biden continues. Obviously Obama not capable of handling things on his own. After saying this Biden says, "oooops, maybe I shouldn't have said that, I didn't know the media was here". Shortly thereafter the Obama camp took good ole Joe off the campaign trail. Guess Joe's message of Obama's need for on the job training didn't go over so well.

It is my firm belief that this woman has the attention span and memory of a goldfish. Can she remember beyond the last fifteen seconds of her life?

    Absolutely stunning.

Hope you caught her interview in CO where she said her job will be to 'get in there and make changes in the Senate' (paraphrased)....

    Absolutely scary.

I can't believe that 4 out of 9 Americans want her and McCranky anywhere near the White House.

The name "Bozo" needs to be attached to these two!! Actually, my respect for Dan Quayle is really starting to go up with Sarah Palin as McCain's running mate and I didn't think that would ever happen.
