McCain aide: Palin 'going rogue'

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (CNN) - With 10 days to go until election day, long brewing tension between Sarah Palin and key aides to John McCain has become so intense, it is spilling out into the public.

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin “going rogue” recently, while a Palin associate says she is simply trying to “bust free” of what she believes was a mishandled roll-out that damaged her.

McCain sources point to several incidents where Palin has gone off message, and privately wonder if they were deliberate. For example: labeling robo calls “irritating,” even as the campaign was defending the use of them and telling reporters she disagreed with the campaigns controversial decision to pull out of Michigan.

A second McCain source tells CNN she appears to now be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

While it is true that I have no respect for Ms. Palin's political argument,
I must admit that she is doing the right thing for her future political or otherwise. I can see a future talk show host role for you Ms Palin, because for whatever term you have left in Alaska you can kiss politics bye bye after that. But before you go I just want to say thanks for the memories.

Let's hope Alaska voters have the sense to vote her out of politics completely by 2012 rather than have to compete with a reincarnated "maverick." She, more than any one person on either side, has brought this presidential contest to new lows.

Her story is all about Sarah. What is in it for Sarah.

Sarah is ambitious. She didn't even blink when she was asked to be #2.

God help us should she ever be commander in chief.

"Also she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party."

That's perfect!! If she is the best that Republicans have to offer then Democrats will rule for a long, long time.

Watching Palin's stump speeches it is clear the campaign for 2012 has already started. Too bad for John McCain it's on his campaign's dime.

  10. Your Dog.

Throw the Republican campaign to the Democrats Sarah. You are in an Republican base and you have to do as told as what you want to do girl. Silly Silly Silly. Get your status back for Alaska.

This is hilarious! McCain and his lack of judgment reins once again. This was just a catastrophe waiting to happen, just sad that the truth is coming out later rather than sooner. This woman has PROVEN that she only does things that benefits her – the so called tax cuts in Alaska, the lies that she has told, the firing of her brother in law, the pretense of being a hokey mom with 150k in clothes to burn (so much for the walmart moms). She is a blatant idiot, but i must give her credit for waking up and at least proving herself to be the real Sarah Palin, cold and calculating. And now that the writing is on the wall she is trying to jump ship to think of her (failed) 2012 bid.

"Sarah" has put women's political gains in our country back two decades! I'd like to know what Cindy McCain has been thinking lately . . . .

People want to put John McCain and Sarah Palin in charge of our country when they can't even agree on how to run a campaign? Are you joking?

She comes across very unintelligent and seems to be expressing her own personal beliefs, mainly pro life opinions, than what her and McCain are going to do if they win. She seems more like she should be giving lectures at churches rather than being a politician.

It is a shame that the candidates cannot be on the same page, all it does it hurt the ticket, and with the division drawn so strongly along party lines, a ticket needs to be as strong as possible. Maybe it is just me, but I believe that an attempt in 2012 for her to run for President will be somewhat futile. As a moderate Republican, I will not vote for her in 2012 or any year, and she is why I am not voting for McCain. It is one thing to be strong about your stance on Christianity, but we, in my opinion should not make America the Christian version of Iran. The seperation clause of the Constitution clearly bars that from happening. If the conservate Christians want to be a dominate force in politics, they should do away with the Electorial College so that they can have their own party (Constitution Party) and not pollute the Repubican

From the quote in the article:

Remember: divas trust only unto themselves as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom.”

And THAT is NOT what we need in the White House!

This is not the type of group we need running our government. We need a team that can work together.

Obama and Biden are a good team. What Biden has said is simply relaying the briefing information from the Pentagon. All new presidents face crises, often this occurs very soon after election. They are being prepped NOW on possible scenarios. Obama is ready to lead from Day 1. I'm not sure at all about McCain. He can say he's been tested all he wants, I don't see how he's tested as President.
