McCain aide: Palin 'going rogue'

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (CNN) - With 10 days to go until election day, long brewing tension between Sarah Palin and key aides to John McCain has become so intense, it is spilling out into the public.

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin “going rogue” recently, while a Palin associate says she is simply trying to “bust free” of what she believes was a mishandled roll-out that damaged her.

McCain sources point to several incidents where Palin has gone off message, and privately wonder if they were deliberate. For example: labeling robo calls “irritating,” even as the campaign was defending the use of them and telling reporters she disagreed with the campaigns controversial decision to pull out of Michigan.

A second McCain source tells CNN she appears to now be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

Personally, Palin can do all she wants to protect her political aspirations; however, her running for President in 2012 or beyond is nothing short of laughable. There are so many competency weaknesses and issues with her "facts" vs. the real truth, that she has – with the exception of the "base... (the religious right) in effect, burned all bridges, leaving her with one option: returning to Alaska to finish out what's left of her political career.

He has created his own monster. I almost feel sorry for him. Of all the female republicans he could have chosen, he selected a child.

Sarah Palin has proven to be what she has always been-a dingbat. How the American people can even consider her as a potential Vice-President, and President, is beyond belief. Yes, I am aware Bush is a two term President. She never answers a question directly and with conviction, whatever the subject. Her pretence to be a " Walmart mom", while she shops at Niemen Marcus, says it all. The okey doke all over again! She is patently false, and totally unqualified. Can anyone imagine her dealing with the economic crisis, and any International ones? As cynical and opportunistic a choice as can ever have been made. The American people deserve far better.

Hahaha well I thought she was a "Maverick". She is going Maverikeee ... This is what you get when you don't completely vet a candidate. McCain can talk about experience all he wants, but is lack of sound JUDGMENT is coming to play, just as with the financial crisis. America wake up and realize the GOP is bring this country down. Vote Straight Blue (VSB)

What a vile and repugnant princess.

This woman being a heartbeat away from the presidency is the strongest reason of all to vote against the McCain/Palin ticket.

She is the antithesis of everything progressive and forward thinking that the Obama campaign stands for.

I have always thought Palin was dangerous because she has a personality combination of extreme ambition with narcissism. She does not have insight into how others view her, she does not appear capable of true empathy. These character traits in a "leader" can lead to real problems and what she is doing proves this analysis.

Like an avalanche coming down a mountain, Palin is out of control, this article takes all doubt away that McCain's first executive decision was to pick this psycho racist that he has lost complete control of! This guy wants to be President????

Poor Sarah, dressed up, used, and thrown away like a toy at christmas. Looks like the republican boys are warming up the bus to throw you under. Let the finger pointing begin, I'm sure this will somehow be Barack's fault. Too funny!!

    End the drama vote Obama.

Ok so, she's a woman... no big surprise there.

"advisers" can only do so much advising. they're not the ones running for office.

the public loves her..let her do what she wants.

Princess Caribou looking out for herself - imagine that; she has always been in this for herself, just watch her constant mugging for the cameras and gimme looks and winks (Tina Fey has these down). But that's all she could be in it for; she has no political philosophy, no ideas, no ability to comprehend anything larger or more important than herself. A dangerous narcissist, in another political climate she would have the makings of a fascist dictator (down-market, dumber Eva Peron).

Sarah Palin is an idiot - almost as big an idiot as the republicans that chose her to represent our party. We should vote out the lot of them and start over from scratch.

Wow, who didn't see that coming? Oh yeah, McCain. Great leadership skills!!! He can't even make the one crucial decision in his campaign correctly. Imagine what his administration would look like? His administration would actually have us pining for bushes’ administration. Now how awful would that be?

By the way, McCain will be loosing his home state of Arizona as well. Add the 10 Arizona electoral votes to the Obama column.
