McCain aide: Palin 'going rogue'

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (CNN) - With 10 days to go until election day, long brewing tension between Sarah Palin and key aides to John McCain has become so intense, it is spilling out into the public.

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin “going rogue” recently, while a Palin associate says she is simply trying to “bust free” of what she believes was a mishandled roll-out that damaged her.

McCain sources point to several incidents where Palin has gone off message, and privately wonder if they were deliberate. For example: labeling robo calls “irritating,” even as the campaign was defending the use of them and telling reporters she disagreed with the campaigns controversial decision to pull out of Michigan.

A second McCain source tells CNN she appears to now be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

Just what the McCain group should have expected when She was picked to be VP. She wants to make a name for herself and going down the way the Republicans are can't blame her when you run the campain that the republicans are running no one in charge.

Sarah Palin is not ready to be vice president or president. Furthermore, it is baffling to me how she was able to become governor of Alaska.

Sarah Palin is not intelligent. She has very little intellectual curiosity. If you ask her questions to test her basic knowledge, she clearly shows that she is not knowledgeable. Catie Couric interview
showed this. McCain advisers know this. That's why they were afraid to let her run wild.

Quite frankly, she should have been able to do her own hair and makeup. I wonder what she would have looked like had she done her own hair and makeup and worn her own clothes. The Obamas and Bidens wear their own clothes.

LOL; looks like the GOP has created a monstrocity. I am not really concerned with Caribu barbie ; just the blind idiots that are following her !!!

McCain should have vetted her and this is a clear indication of McCain not having it takes to be the president fo United States. He (McCain ) claims the mantle of experience but it looks like his two and half decades of experience comes without judgment. Experience without judgment is worst than inexperience with flawless judgment.

McCain is hot head just like Palin, he ignored what was important and pulled a political stunt to score political point. He deserves what he gets.

    John McCain wanted a maverick.

So when you select a maverick, you should expect that person to speak their mind, which will sometimes conflict with the theme of a campaign.

Is it true that Russian aircraft fly over Alaska to get to the US?

    I agree.

"She never allowed herself to be vetted. Voters turned against her both in terms of qualifications and personality."

She has not protected women in Wasilla. Charged women for rape kits in Wasilla, AK. Watch what they do.....

McCain wants to charge me for my healthcare for the first time ever. I like my current healthcare. I do not want to be let out on my own to wander around looking for good healthcare.

Healthcare is too important to go out and "Maverick it up."

Please vote against bad Healthcare. NO MCCAIN.

    Thank You.

You guys will try anything to diminish the Palin effect that is real.

What kind of story can we create today? Hmmmm, I have an idea. What about her college days? I bet she said something or did something back then we could use in the next 10 days. Why not.

Why don't you spend your time reporting on news instead of trying to create news.

That's right. She's going to go against her own party bosses just like she did in Alaska, so watch out! She befriended many and later threw them under the bus. She sees members of her party as corrupt, and seeks to replace them with her own brand of corruption.

    Geez Palin,

    Wheres your loyalty?

You cant even be loyal for 2 months.
Honestly many saw this ambition of yours very early and
its no suprise she is going rogue and seeing to her personal interests
    more and more.

In the final throws of the pres. race, Im betting she will outright denounce John McCain.

I suppose "rogue" is a step above "maverick"...it`s pretty obvious that she`s had her own agenda, from the time she was mayor to being Governor. I don`t trust this woman nor should any of the voters who think she is on their side. She`s self-centered and dangerous...

This is no surprise. Palin is a sociopath, and her only concern is for herself. Not only will she damage McCain during the campaign to make herself look good, watch for her to start shredding him the minute they lose.

What did they expect from Palin...? Of course she now sees the handwriting on the wall and will turn on her "creator." She wore their clothes and spewed their hate for the past 2 months with the promise she could be a vice president in spite of her lack of qualifications or even knowledge of what the job entails. They created this Frankenstein. Now they have to deal with it.

    Avoid the Drama... Vote Obama!!!

Don't blame Palin. Blame McCain for picking the wrong choice. Palin is now drunk with power as she looks forward to running for president in 2012, -thanks to McCain's help in making her "famous". However, with her lack of inellect in imporptu interviews, I hope she will not ultimately end in an asylum when she realizes it takes more than beauty to be a leader.

That shows you how ungratefull she is. She was a nobody from Alaska and McCain put her on his ticket, having plenty of more qualified republican women for the job. Now, this is how she is paying him back. Just like people with new money who start squandering it on unnecessary stuff, she is squandering her given political capital. By 2012, if this is really the beauty queen's goal, she would be dust in Alaska and mainland politics. Mark my words.

How dare she thinks about 2012? Isn't she a proven idiot, bigot and dumb enough to come back and showcase her very very low IQ in four years? Poor Sarah it's not even funny anymore, just go back to where you belong: THE WILDERNESS!!!!

From everything I've read, Mrs. Palin would throw any body under the bus to get ahead. She is totally amoral. Given the opportunity, she could probably mouth convincing progressive talking points if there was something to be gained there also.

I am SOOOOO ready for Palin to take her negative twang back up to Alaska. She was a horrible pick in the first place by Senator McCain, a pick that puts the entire country at risk should she find her way to the top, an ignorant bull headed self-proclaimed "maverick" who's really nothing more than a pretty face over an unproven record. I don't care what she's done in Alaska in her short stint there, in terms of knowledge or understanding beyond Alaska's state lines she is devoid.

Sarah Palin is completely out of touch with everyone except the most extreme right wing element and those too ignorant to see her for what she really is: a fake. She knows nothing about world politics, yet she's too ignorant and bravado to realize she knows nothing. Sarah Palin as president would be like throwing a loaded uzzi into the gorilla cage at the zoo. She's more bravado and ignorant than George Bush and surely won't blink when she runs the country off the edge of a cliff.

If there really is a God watching over America as she says, that God will keep her out of the White House now and in 2012. She should stay Gov of Alaska full term then run for the Senate, and then let's judge her on her ability to bring people together. What we're seeing right now typifies what she's historically done: stab those in the back who helped erect her career.

Palin's the type who'll smile in your face while she's shoving the knife into your ribs. Her black-and-white views of the world come down to this: you're either on her side and see EVERYTHING Sarah's way, or you're one of the bad guys and need to be eliminated.

    She's a threat, a pretty package wrapped around a not-so-pretty human being.

"she needed time to get briefed on issues on the national and international stage she was not familiar with and has never dealt with, and on McCain’s long record"

Isn't this particular line from the above article simply admitting that Palin is not ready for the VP position? To me it says that her own party does not believe she is qualified to fill those shoes. She is just a barbie doll hastefully chosen to manipulate Hillary supporters once there was no longer a female figure in the race. Palin is a very far cry from being a "replacement" for Hillary Clinton's years of education, experience, and knowledge in the political system on both the national and international stage. It is sad that McCain thought any woman would do, but it is more sad that many Hillary supporters agree with him. Hillary's appropriateness for the White House was not because she is a woman, it's because everything else that makes her Hillary.

This just shows us one more reason why McCain is not the person for the job. He thinks American's are stupid enough to believe this charade and puppet show is trying to pull using Sarah Palin as his Howdy Doody.
