McCain aide: Palin 'going rogue'

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (CNN) - With 10 days to go until election day, long brewing tension between Sarah Palin and key aides to John McCain has become so intense, it is spilling out into the public.
Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin “going rogue” recently, while a Palin associate says she is simply trying to “bust free” of what she believes was a mishandled roll-out that damaged her.
McCain sources point to several incidents where Palin has gone off message, and privately wonder if they were deliberate. For example: labeling robo calls “irritating,” even as the campaign was defending the use of them and telling reporters she disagreed with the campaigns controversial decision to pull out of Michigan.
A second McCain source tells CNN she appears to now be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

This woman is very dangerous. She needs to be stopped. She's beginning to make Dick Cheney look nice. It's a frightening time if she is allowed to get any further politically.
Palin, so if another question asks you a question about their questions you wouldn't be good at answering those process questions? Yes, I can't see how she could ever be the leader of the Republican party. How would that be working out for ya?

If she throws her hat (along with rest of her $150,000 wardrobe) into the primary mix in 12, she will get her clock cleaned. She's not a primetime player. I've read some reports that her Alaska approval ratings are falling, and that she will get some serious challenges for the governorship next election. Things won't be so smooth when she returns to Juneau in 11 days.

I knew she was a rogue from the day she complained to McCain about having to pull their campaign out of Michigan. Is she a diva? Of course she is. I have no argument with that.
Palin doesn't know what it means to be VP, she instead is trying to greedily suck up more power for said position. Thank God she won't ever be in such a role, let alone president of the United States.

Without Sarah Palin, they would have crowds of about 2,000 like Joe Biden and John McCain get. 60,000 turned out to see Sarah in Orlando and 70 million watched her debate. Sarah is beloved by millions of people in the U.S. and when Obama fails, as he will, she'll run for President in 2012.
The RNC are a bunch of idiots who handled her terribly and she should break away from them. And by the way, Sarah is much more accomplished than her critics-Mayor, Governor with the highest approval rating in the U.S., member Alaskan Board of Energy and Conservation, Degree in Journalism, all by the age of 44 and all while raising 5 kids.

Ah, the self-destruction of the GOP ticket. Wonderful. These reports only serve to confirm what most American's already knew: that McCain nor his advisers knew much at all about Palin before her selection VP running mate. MAYBE, she's smarter than we give her credit (or maybe more naive) because it appears she's jumping off a sinking ship, and positioning herself to be the "new face" of the GOP.
Sen. McCain should have vetted Tina Fey, as she seems to understand completely who Gov. Palin and first dude Todd really are.

We don't know who Palin and McCain are because they change every week. They should stop saying we don't know much about Obama because we don't know who they are. At least Obama has been consistent and constant.
With the McCain/Palin factions infighting in full swing we've reached the most interesting point in the campaign. The best thing about watching it from afar is that both groups will be losers when the dust settles. A better outcome one cannot imagine.
