Palin "annoyed" with CBS interviewer

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (CNN) – Campaigning Saturday in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a city once represented in Congress by another vice presidential candidate named Dan Quayle, Sarah Palin delivered one of her longest stump speeches to date and revealed that she was “annoyed” with the line of questioning presented by Katie Couric in her now-infamous interview with CBS.
Palin reprised a story she last told a week ago in Noblesville, Indiana about her sit-down with Couric, which was widely panned.
“Last time I was here I got to tell a crowd that I had to give a national interview that didn’t go so well,” she said. “And it was because I was kind of annoyed with the questions that I was being asked because I thought they were kind of irrelevant to, you know, national security issues and getting our economy back on track, so I kind of showed some of that annoyance.”
Couric did, in fact, ask Palin several questions about the economy and national security, focusing in particular on the congressional bailout package, the mortgage crisis, John McCain’s record on regulation, the war in Afghanistan, hunting terrorists in Pakistan, Russia, Iran, Syria, Israel and the role of the United States in the world.
Palin joked, however, about another line of questioning.
“But I think the one question that I answered that everyone could agree on, it maybe shows where my heart is... too is, she asked me this relevant question: What was my favorite movie? And I said ‘Hoosiers!’”
The governor continued to press the campaign’s message of the day: that Barack Obama and congressional Democrats will, if elected, expand government and redistribute the hard-earned dollars of regular Americans, criticisms that brought on accusatory shouts of “socialist!,” “Communist!” and, at one point, “Hussein the socialist!”
Palin said that on election day, “what we're going to have to do together, voters, what we have to do is fight for what is right and free and uniquely American. Let us put our trust in each other, not big government.”
The Indiana crowd - easily Palin’s largest of the day - was warmed up by country legend Hank Williams, Jr., who often appears at Palin campaign events to perform his recently-penned ode to the GOP ticket: “McCain-Palin tradition.”
But Williams may have been channeling the enthusiasm of the crowds for Palin - and also reflecting recent reports that Palin is “going rogue” with an eye toward the 2012 presidential race. At one point during his performance, he intentionally scrambled the song’s lyrics and put the Alaskan at the top of the ticket, praising a “Palin-McCain tradition.”
That musical witticism earned Williams a loud cheer from the crowd.

I feel like she is whinning....didn't she acuse Hillary of whinning??? She can dish it out , but can't take it.. and when you chanllenge the public on how you would do better then the other women.. you will get tested.. Don't brag about how your so perfect.. and how you would handle things differently, and then do exactly what you say you wouldn't do. This women is not as innocent and good intentioned as she tries to come across as..and it is starting to show.
How many of us really believe that Couric's questions were about irrelevant topics? The fact is, she focused on the burning issues of the day. Palin couldn't answer them well, because she's unknowledgeable. CNN quotes someone involved in prepping her for her role stating, "Her lack of fundamental understanding of some key issues was dramatic."
Palin never corrects the crowd when they get out of hand. She likes it when they say unruly things.
I think she may be a scary person. I do not trust a leader who stands up for such words as; socialist, terriorist, communist, kill him.

And if and when it happens, I hope not to see this harridan ever again. If she does try to run for President in 2012, I hope she gets creamed in the primaries.

She has every right to be annoyed. It's shocking how the media treats Palin. They would never treat Biden or Obama the same way. It's so obvious who the media are pulling for in this election.
Annoyed? As a candidate it is your responsibility to answer questions, yes Sarah, even questions you do not want to answer or have no clue what the answer is, because you do not understand. And it is the job of the media (which last election they were negligent on) to ask the very hard questions and insist on an answer, not the run-a-round talking point. It seems Governor Palin talks more about her opponent than her and Senator McCain's planned policies, are there any? Or do they just not want to say what they are?
She said she "showed some of that annoyance.” But that is just a lame excuse for not having the basic knowledge base that VP candidate should have.

Palin certainly remains highly sensitive over her disappointing performance during the Katie Couric interview. Couric's careful and respectful questioning revealed Palin to be the light weight she is. Trying to explain this away won't help Palin erase the memories.

Let me see now. $150 000 over the past two for her outfits and she feels she doesn't need to answer any questions about her understanding of national security, constitutional law, the economy or John McCain's regulation stance?
I suppose she can learn about those things while on the job.
But will she expect taxpayers to foot the bill for ($300 000?, $500 0000?) for her image makeovers while in office?
WOW! I am in complete awe of what's happening with the Republican ticket. John McCain must go to bed every night now regretting his choice of Sarah Palin.
