[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/27/art.stevens.ap.jpg caption="Stevens has been found guilty on all counts."]WASHINGTON (CNN) - A jury Monday found U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska guilty on all seven counts of making false statements on Senate disclosure forms.

Stevens had been charged with failing to disclose hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gifts and work on his house in Alaska.

The 84-year-old senator is locked in a tight race for re-election, hoping to retain the seat he has held since 1968.

Sentencing is set for January 26.

Wow. Somehow it doesn't seem like Palin eradicated all the corruption in Alaska. Especially since she used the same firm as Stevens to get all the earmarks for Alaska.

Now, Obama has a chance to carry Alaska. Kick all the Republican crooks out of office a start anew. Palin trial on non-disclosure of gifts will be next on the agenda............I bet she's shaking in her boots that her guy has been convicted. Next, Palin on the chopping block.

    We need change!!!! VOTE PEOPLE...

What Sen. Stevens did sounds a lot like what Ms. Palin did when she changed the travel reports to reflect "official business" for her family's trips on the State's dime. There must be something in the snow in Alaska.

First off, would the moderators of CNN please post my comment instead of leaving it in "moderation" limbo like they usually do.

That said, I can't say this new surprises me. Corruption seems to be the only thing Republican politicians can do anymore. No wonder the Dems are in such a position to win big next week.
