[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/27/art.stevens.ap.jpg caption="Stevens has been found guilty on all counts."]WASHINGTON (CNN) - A jury Monday found U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska guilty on all seven counts of making false statements on Senate disclosure forms.

Stevens had been charged with failing to disclose hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gifts and work on his house in Alaska.

The 84-year-old senator is locked in a tight race for re-election, hoping to retain the seat he has held since 1968.

Sentencing is set for January 26.

What idiot doesn't claim gifts especially someone in the limelight everyday? Maybe Palin was paling around with the same special interests? Kinda seems like maybe she already did with all the airfare and hotel bills she charged the state of Alaska. Just because you can doesn't make these types of things right. Be honest and do the=ings the right way! GO OBAMA/BIDEN '08!

Gosh, has he said he's happy to be vindicated and found innocent yet? Can he still be running for Congress? Can Alaskans actually elect a cheat? Is it possible that justice can prevail in the Palin case as well? Oh, wait, she supports Stevens, and actually was quite happy with the earmarks he sent to Alaska. Plus she had her $500,000 mansion built for free after she awarded the arena contract. Guess she pals around with felons. I'm sure Obama had something to do with this, you betcha.

So many questions...8 more days...get out and vote for honesty, whatever that means to you. I'm voting Democratic almost down the ticket. I'm voting for the possibility of peace and prosperity returning to the whole USA, not just the "pro-American"...i.e. pro-Palin, parts, but all of America. And I hope never to hear Plain's name again after Nov. 5.

Maybe eventually Palin will be investigated for the house that they built in Wasilla... Rumor has it... there were some 'deals'.... It is perhaps the AK way?

It is sad to see him going to prison in his 80s. He made mistakes but should be pardoned by Bush. GOP is a disgrace and I am voting for Obama.

84? Time to retire! He's been in office as long as I've been alive. It's about time for a Democrat to take over his seat, I'd say.
