Ted Stevens of Alaska guilty on all seven counts of making false statements on Senate disclosure forms.

Stevens had been charged with failing to disclose hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gifts and work on his house in Alaska.

The 84-year-old senator is locked in a tight race for re-election, hoping to retain the seat he has held since 1968.

Sentencing is set for January 26.

Imagine that.... well it just goes to show that so much power can easily corrupt!... his constituents best select his rival to succeed him if they have any integrity at all.

Who gives a crap about this side issue. What I just heard and I am a Democrat, was Obama's 01 interview on chicago's public radio. He states that it will be a redistribution of wealth not through the Supreme Court, but rather, to " legislate the redistrubion of wealth ", I could not vote for this charletan now. The pity of all this now I'm forced to vote for McCain but also Palin, the real middle of the road Center, mainstream candidate was Hillary Clinton and the main stream press and the Liberal wing of the Democratic Party are in cahoots. OK MCCAIN YOU WIN NOW GO TO THE CENTER, or at least stop the Liberals from going way, way Left.

    2012 Clinton 😉

  11. Al Qaeda in the U.S. Next Year

Obama will begin his woos appeasement efforts with Al Qaeda and Iran early in 2009. When they sense his weakness, Al Qaeda will be in NY and LA before June and we will pay the price. Americans may have thought it was all about the economy but it isn't. It's about keeping terrorists out of the U.S. as George Bush has done for the past 7 years.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons budget has increased by two thousand percent as a result of mandatory minimum sentencing for drug users, and theUnited States has created the largest prison population in the world, now housing 25% of the world's inmates. Prisons and jails house more than 2,500,000 adults, mostly poor and black.
Meanwhile their is corruption at the highest levels of government and business, but few have ended up in prison.

President Johnson made a comment that
lends itself to the Palin / Mccain problem perfectly.
