McCain: Don’t buy reports of GOP ticket friction

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/28/palin.jpg caption=" McCain and Palin rallied together today in Pennsylvania."]
HERSHEY, Pa. (CNN) – John McCain unofficially declared this fair city a diva-free zone Tuesday.

In his first joint rally with running mate Sarah Palin since tension between their aides spilled into public view, McCain opened his remarks by declaring, “By the way, when two mavericks get together, you don’t agree on everything – but that’s fun!”

McCain has previously made similar comments at rallies about how he and Palin do not agree on everything, such as drilling for oil and gas in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (McCain opposes, Palin supports).
But this time the comment had particular resonance with a large crowd here in Pennsylvania, coming just days after a McCain adviser privately charged to CNN that Palin is a “diva” who’s not staying on-message, while Palin advisers fired back that McCain aides botched her rollout to the American people.

"When two mavericks get together, we don't agree on everything. That's what makes it fun"

Ok McCain.. that's not fun.. that's called gridlock in the executive branch.

I love this article.. McCain basically saying just close your eyes and ears and pretend that everything in the GOP is just gosh darned rosy.

Anything else McCain would like us to turn a deaf ear on?

But, the reports are coming from both sides of the McCain/Palin campaign. In any event, McCain should not even be upset with Palin for the bad publicity of late. He should be upset with himself for putting her on the national stage a little prematurely.

    Hey, McCain!

Share with the rest of us how your wife managed to pay only 25% tax on her millions in income! Isn't she in a much higher tax bracket?

Then, when you talk about your position on taxes, maybe we will believe that you actually have our interests at heart and not just yours, or your wife's or your well-positioned friends...

Or maybe we will continue to support those who deserve to be leaders of this great nation.

Am I the only Obama Mama who is starting to feel sorry for this guy? You just can't feel anything but pity for him as he tries to keep his head above water day after day. It's pathetic!

McCain is making the same mistake Palin made over the weekend: Perpetuating a story for another news cycle. Neither one of them seem to be able to follow the wise advice being given to them. They are unwittingly sabotaging their own run for the election.

Just what the country needs: Two people who cannot seem to engage some thoughtful introspect before running off at the mouth, who cannot confer before making statements. How would any world leader know how to react getting two completely different stances on US policy?

Have you all who are so concerned about taxes being raised thought that the higher salaries ALREADY pay higher taxes? It's called a tax bracket.... the more you make the more your taxed. Your argument is absurd, now it sounds like we have an entire nation of $250,000.00 earners... what happened to unity? Obama is not looking for absolute power nor is he following the footsteps of Marxism, Socialism... etc. Where was all of this tough talk when George W was running and people knew how dumb "he" was?

Take a look at an Obama rally then at a McCain rally and you will see who has a better handel on the country as a WHOLE, I mean UNITY.

Your always looking to vote for the good ol boy club and forgo intellect and common sense just because THE PERSON DOESNT SUIT YOU SOCIALLY....

Really? John McCain doesn't want people to think that there is any miscommunication happening within his campaign a week from election day. Boy that's pretty profound.

Hey "welcome to the obama show" – is that why Obama has over 1,100 high-profile endorsements to McCain's 140? Sorry, old boy, it is you that don't understand. McCain does not have one single Nobel Laureate endorsement.

Everyone knows that McCain is going to put a positive spin on the Palin debacle. He would die before ever admitting to making one of the worst mistakes of his life by choosing her as a running mate! He knows that his campaign is in the toilet and everyone is already pointing fingers at each other. Can't he ever just admit what's going on and tell the truth for a change? The man doesn't know the truth anymore. The people in this country are not stupid, John. Don't act like we are!

I don't understand why McCain is using this "Joe the Plumber. " Joe is not his name, he's not a plumber, and he'd do BETTER under the Obama plan. He speaks to a group of "wanna be's". These people are so deluded they don't even realize that the premise of Obama's tax plan is rooted in Reagan's redistribution tax that actually allowed for the first time, those who made under a certain amount of money to actually MAKE money at tax time. What a crock campaign McCain is running on and "Sam the Moron" is his supporter.

John, Sarah, be careful of your actions and statements or you will reap what you sow.

BTW: really tired of so and so the such and such (i.e. Joe the Plumber, Tito the Builder), yesterday McCain not only took an old audio radio interview Sen. Obama gave and misstated everything, he out and out lied about several points. Then he named Obama the Redistributor. So Sen. Obama has been a socialist, marxist, spreader of wealth, and redistributor. I'm tired of these kindergarten names for kindergarten mentalities.
