McCain: Don’t buy reports of GOP ticket friction

McCain and Palin rallied together today in Pennsylvania.

McCain and Palin rallied together today in Pennsylvania.

HERSHEY, Pa. (CNN) – John McCain unofficially declared this fair city a diva-free zone Tuesday.

In his first joint rally with running mate Sarah Palin since tension between their aides spilled into public view, McCain opened his remarks by declaring, “By the way, when two mavericks get together, you don’t agree on everything – but that’s fun!”

McCain has previously made similar comments at rallies about how he and Palin do not agree on everything, such as drilling for oil and gas in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (McCain opposes, Palin supports).
But this time the comment had particular resonance with a large crowd here in Pennsylvania, coming just days after a McCain adviser privately charged to CNN that Palin is a “diva” who’s not staying on-message, while Palin advisers fired back that McCain aides botched her rollout to the American people.

I think you should both agree to step down due to ethics violations. McCain convicted of being unethical and Palin found guilty of it. You both suggest Stevens should step down for his. I say lead by example, you hypocritical white trash!

Nope, sorry, old man. We buy it because all the signs are there. Your campaign looks like it's being run by Karl Rove as a weekend hobby.

You know, there will be ONE change coming all OUR ways if McCain gets elected. This change is a name tag replacement from Bush to McCain in the Oval Office.

Yes, a NAME TAG REPLACEMENT. If you voted 90% of the time with Bush, 10% of the time, he'll just be replacing names and people with the same philosophies of Bush.

Come on, his first few economic advisors were DISASTERS.

I have already warned all of you. So, 100 days from now, dont be screaming!!!

You voted for Bush twice and you're shocked he cant do the job. Do your homework.

Hey, "Welcome to the Obama Show Person" Please answer this question: What has the Republican Party done for us in the past eight years? Sorry. People are sick of the GOP games. When our country is the worst it has been since the 1930's, I think it is time for a change. Obama can't ruin this country......It looks as though Bush has done a good job of that already.

Who cares about Joe the Plumber. We have gone from dumb to dumber. With McCain's erratic behaviour, we WILL all be LOST IN TRANSLATION as he takes us through his senior moments. I have seen a few and it's bound to repeat more frequently if he wins the White House.

The McCain and Palin campaign is nothing more than a JOKE! They can't even run a smooth campaign let alone an entire country. If one thing has been clear in this election it is that Obama has run a smooth and excellent campaign while the McCain campaign has been in complete disarray. That shows who the better leader is between these two.

Once again, McCain doesn't talk on the issues. He just doesn't get it , or better, doesn't have a clue as to what he'd do. Palin would be a disaster if McCain couldn't handle the position. just think, Palin could be our next President.......OMG!

Dear MD in TX, have you been paying any attention. John McCain hs tried to silence the media at every chance. He has cancelled appearances and called anyone who disagrees with him names. Sara Palin has done the same thing. When either one of them screws up or gives a foolish answer, they blame the media and accuse them of bias. Isn't that the same thing George bush did to keep all his lies and corruption silent?

Call me a Maverick as well because I also don't agree with anything McCain has to say. Well I only agree on him wanting Stevens to step down, but besides that nothing else.

John, What in the world is a Maverick? It must mean someone who can't come up with a new or orginal idea. Someone that keeps trying the same thing over and over and expects a different result. I think that you have over used the term just a little.

The GOP ticket has become a cocktail party joke. While Obama is out on the stump preaching unity, McCain/Palin are out there continuing to try to distract, deceive and divide the American people. While Obama is running for President of the UNITED States of American it appears clear that McCain would prefer to lead the DIVIDED States of America. It's time for this tactic to end.

By the way- two mavericks is an oxymoron...a maverick is someone who stands out on their own...LOL
But whatever- believe the hype because its coming from within their own campaign- palin is out for herself, and McCain is flailing in the wind... if you've never witnessed a sinking ship before- now you have!!

    Victory on November 4th!!

This campaign is still dealing with fluff. Seven days until election day and they keep avoiding frank discussion of their solutions to the grave economic problems strangling this country. All I hear about is Palin's wardrobe, how they are "mavericks" and other utterly irrelevant matters.
