Palin calls for Stevens to resign

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/27/art.palin.10.27.jpg caption="Palin says Stevens should step aside."](CNN) - Sarah Palin said Tuesday Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens should resign his Senate seat, in a statement released hours after John McCain made a similar declaration.

The comments come a day after Palin would not say what she thought the best course of action for the recently convicted senator should be.

"After being found guilty on seven felony counts, I had hoped Senator Stevens would take the opportunity to do the statesman-like thing and erase the cloud that is covering his Senate seat," she said in the statement. "He has not done so. Alaskans are grateful for his decades of public service but the time has come for him to step aside. Even if elected on Tuesday, Senator Stevens should step aside to allow a special election to give Alaskans a real choice of who will serve them in Congress."

I guess she's playing "Simon Says" after Sen,. McCain. She could have done this earlier. Another scripted response. Who is she, really?

Sorry, too late. She should have said it yesterday. Now, ALL OF A SUDDEN, after McCain asked him to stop down, she wants to follow suit. What a pathetic loser.

Does this mean Palin "pals" around with convicted criminals? She is such a hypocrit, she needs to step down as well. Did she forget she was found guilty of abuse of power? She needs to step down.

Oh, didn't she get her house built for free?....hmm,

If Ted steps down Palin could appoint the "First Dude," as senator. He's running the show there anyway.

Sarah "The Power Abuser" Palin should step down as well.
She doesn't qualify to become a Vice President of any country on planet earth, even aliens in Mars would reject her.

Is Palin going to be investigated too because she and her family received free travel from a oil company too.

    This is important to know.

How about her resigning since she was found "guilty" in the troopergate investigation of abuse of power, event though she continues to boast that she was cleared. It's just another example of if you say something often enough you may get some people to believe it.

How can someone who abused their power in office ask for someone else's resignation? While you are at it, what about Bush & Cheney?

WASHINGTON — Millions of homeowners facing foreclosure got a bucket of ice water in the face from Senator John McCain March 25.“The mess you are in is your own fault. Don’t expect any bailouts from me.” That was the GOP presidential nominee’s message, stripped of election-year rhetoric.

Speaking to small business owners in Los Angeles, an epicenter of the housing crisis, McCain said, “It is not the duty of government to bail out and reward those who act irresponsibly whether they are big banks or small borrowers.”

Careful Sarah. Someone may start reporting on you getting your house built for FREE by the same contractors that built your beloved hockey rink.

What about your home builder Sarah? Why did you wave permits for the construction? What are you hiding? Stevens buddies swinging a hammer on your your house? So you through him under the bus! Was that your handler's idea?

Ice rink supplier providing the lumber while contributing to your compaign?

Lot's of questions. So much for transparency.

And, for the good of our Country, I suggest that you, Gov. Palin, resign as the VP candidate, because anybody with a brain knows that you are completely and totally unqualified for the position!

Palin should step down herself. She makes it hard for us to defend McCain, especially with her very close ties to the Alaskan Independent Party. She has no business condemning her mentor when she has her own ethics problems
